Still European if we leave the EU? We will still be in Europe but not in the Union.

Bristol East

The continent has been populated a lot longer than these broken bits of land.

8,000 years ago, it wasn’t broken - you could walk from England to Holland.

Not that many did, to be honest.

Then there was a big rockfall in the Norwegian Sea that caused a tsunami and flooded the land bridge.

We’re still part of the same land mass.

Our DNA is derived from successive tribes who moved in waves across Europe.

So yes, we are all part of the same homogenous group.

All that distinguishes us today is our cultures.

"Still European if we leave the EU? We will still be in Europe but not in the Union."

That's sort of question I would expect from a 10 year old ...

Well technically we're are on the Eurasian tectonic plate that stretches from Portugal to China.

Europe doesn't really exist as a continent in geological terms. Its a made up continent.

Europe is a peninsula of Asia. Most Europeans are Caucasian. The clue is in the word .

I suppose Eurasian would be the correct term.. but feel free to define yourselves how you like..

Yet more evidence why we should never have had a referendum in the first place.

"Still European if we leave the EU? We will still be in Europe but not in the Union."

What do you mean by the question?

How we feel or behave?

The economic and social benefits?
