Credibility Weighting

Who's opinions warrant the most credence here? Who has the chops to back up what they say? Who isn't just rewriting the newspaper column in their own words?

It doesn't matter about their politics..... it's their ability to argue the point not the ideology, to change their mind and to generally be sensible.

Top of my head I'll give a nod to Unleashedcraken, Sara J, Matt, Kinkylondonpair and Fabio to start

Doesn't this depend upon viewpoint?

We will always try to justify a point of view using facts as we see them.

Too many facts are delivered in most threads on here that suffer with selective emphasis.

Aww, you are very kind!

I like these fora because the views are so diverse.

Each is equally valid.

The thing about social media is that it's too easy to surround yourself with people who validate your view - the "echo chamber".

This is the opposite. We're here because we have a common interest in sexual adventure, so the political baggage each of us bring is utterly random.

I can't say it's changed my outlook greatly, but I've learned a lot I did not know.

And being able to look at the sexual proclivities alongside political opinion is, well, erm, novel lololol

I try to ignore the poster and see what is written. However it is hard to get past seeing patterns.

To me credibility comes from a few things. Firstly, citing sources, ideally the actual source, not the newspaper article.

Second is having coherent and logical arguments without falling into the usual traps. I try not to argue conclusions but thought processes.

Finally, persona credibility is lost if you leave threads hanging. Sometimes threads die a death or go off topic but some just feel ignored when challenged. Especially given sometimes it’s on a repeated subject ...

And I never trust a shadow head

I read most of the threads despite not posting.

I feel I've got a good jist of the logic of most.

Some people are nice, some not so, I try not to let it sway me from what there saying though.

Opinions are just that, opinions.

Where many fall though is when untruths are used to back up said opinions.

Or where some fall even further is when they forget what they have previously posted and totally contradict themselves at a later date. These individuals have rock bottom credibility.

I’d say no ones,

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one but they think each others stink.

So pretty redundant and so inane and mundane, and repetitive, and febrile, and on, and on, and on, and ariston.
