If the quality of debate here recently is anything to go by.

Enjoy a Happy Christmas and then start bracing yourselves for what's to come.

The government does not want Brexit and that includes Labour but if it goes to another vote i will vote to leave due to the way Europe has treated us

Why did The french Leader come out with his statement just before the vote in the commons regarding fishing rights was it a coincidence.

I think not

You Brexit lot never cease to baffle the rest of the world.

The EU are big powerful and very experienced at negotiating international agreements and trade agreements. You all want to leave, and then complain that they’re too good and too powerful in the negotiations.

I just want to leave with no commitments or obligations as legally allowed under article 50 meaning the EU can whistle for they're 39 billion, however we'd like our 6.2 billion that's held in the EU's Bank back on leaving as that's a legal obligation I'm sure the EU would cough it up

I bet that when you sign a contract you also want to be able to enforce all parts of that contract on the other signatories but be free from your own contract obligations.

Your IQ level must really be your number of verifications, lol."

In fairness you are proven wrong consistently. The only way you see yourself as winning anything is when you willfully misunderstand someone’s point and bring up something irrelevant to the riscussion. As an example, one of your favourites seems to be that Tony Blair campaigned to remain.

I guess the only way you “win” is when people give up proving you wrong, as you’ve demonstrated time and time again how you ignore all facts, information and evidence, and you come to your own bizarre conclusions. It’s to the point that the only reason to engage you in any way is just for the fun of winding you up.

"I just want to leave with no commitments or obligations as legally allowed under article 50 meaning the EU can whistle for they're 39 billion, however we'd like our 6.2 billion that's held in the EU's Bank back on leaving as that's a legal obligation I'm sure the EU would cough it up

Of course you do...

I bet that when you sign a contract you also want to be able to enforce all parts of that contract on the other signatories but be free from your own contract obligations. "

.

No I just read article 50 that we signed and agreed with under the EU.

Upon leaving ALL commitments and obligations cease on both sides, however the money in the EU bank is ours, we put it there and it's all been separated since under EU rules, we get that back upon leaving legally and that's a commitment made by both the EU and the UK.

What does Article 50 actually say?

There are five elements to Article 50 of the Treaty of Lisbon:

Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements.

A Member State which decides to withdraw shall notify the European Council of its intention. In the light of the guidelines provided by the European Council, the Union shall negotiate and conclude an agreement with that State, setting out the arrangements for its withdrawal, taking account of the framework for its future relationship with the Union. That agreement shall be negotiated in accordance with Article 218(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. It shall be concluded on behalf of the Union by the Council, acting by a qualified majority, after obtaining the consent of the European Parliament.

The Treaties shall cease to apply to the State in question from the date of entry into force of the withdrawal agreement or, failing that, two years after the notification referred to in paragraph 2, unless the European Council, in agreement with the Member State concerned, unanimously decides to extend this period.

For the purposes of paragraphs 2 and

3, the member of the European Council or of the Council representing the withdrawing Member State shall not participate in the discussions of the European Council or Council or in decisions concerning it. A qualified majority shall be defined in accordance with Article 238(3)(b) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

If a State which has withdrawn from the Union asks to rejoin, its request shall be subject to the procedure referred to in Article 49.

What is actually being managed in the managed no deal? I’m still not clear what is being managed and in what way. Atm I can only see the aviation deal. And that seems to be EUs position.

Matches your IQ I suspect.

Your IQ also matches your number of verifications too then I suspect.

You n suspect that whilst you hang out with your peers peacehaven and that lovely couple from Kent

I suspect you got your numbers up being the recipient of a BNP 50 man spit roast...obviously no proof, but fact are overrated.

There are plenty of people who post on this forum who support brexit besides me, peacehaven and Johnjanekent. What about JandS, MrandMrsWestMids, or robka, besides others. You are blinkered. You and the likes of the OP may want this forum to be an EU luv in echo chamber, but it's never been like that and it never will be.

You say we are blinkered but the have the arrogance to come out with the final gambit!

You constantly are proved wrong on here and contradict yourself yet we are blinkered...I watched your youtube video the other day and commented...did you watch the one I posted?

You haven't proven me wrong on anything. More often than not its me proving you wrong. Most recent example just now on another thread you said you were only talking about America, but I proved you wrong because you mentioned Farage and Mogg, who happen to be British.

Your IQ level must really be your number of verifications, lol.

I'm not wound up though, I'm very happy and content that were leaving, over the moon in fact.

It's your lot who are wound up,.... the foot stamping, dummy spitting, temper tantrums from you and your ilk on here are becoming more and more desperate (and entertaining) the closer we get to leaving the EU in March.

So, you're happy with May's deal now?

Would prefer to leave with a managed no deal, but even May's deal is preferable to remaining. "

In what way is it preferable? Even Rees Mogg's given up on a No Deal hasn't he?

"I just want to leave with no commitments or obligations as legally allowed under article 50 meaning the EU can whistle for they're 39 billion, however we'd like our 6.2 billion that's held in the EU's Bank back on leaving as that's a legal obligation I'm sure the EU would cough it up

Of course you do...

I bet that when you sign a contract you also want to be able to enforce all parts of that contract on the other signatories but be free from your own contract obligations.

Where did you get this info from. I’m suprise a bank has been seeded in this way rather than share capital.

?????"

.

It's quite clear legally there's no obligations or commitments to leave unless negotiated.

If we leave we leave with no obligations or commitments.

I suspect the offshore bit means where the fund is based not the underlying investments. Although being priced in euros (at a guess) will help protect his non sterling clients from the weakening.

But its not HIS money it belongs to those who invest in the company and if the pound did crash it would affect the companies investments here and more importantly the investors ability to invest and more likely their need to cash in those assets, you do realise that YOUR pension will be investing in these emerging markets too

It also encourages investment in companies that are UK based but make the bulk of their profits abroad.

It's the same phenomenon that lead to a rising FTSE after the referendum vote which Leavers claimed was a sign of the economy doing brilliantly.

Nope.

Don't worry about any of it. The global recession is catching up with us.

This at least is cyclic and should work out but times will be lean again in between.

If we're lucky we'll stay in the single market somehow over this period.

If not, times will be significantly tougher...

This has been extremely well documented over the past two years. Some on here have pointed out the general gist of it.

No doubt you will either:

No. If the pound falls it would cost less to invest in the UK if you were buying in another currency. That's why foreign "investment" increased after the referendum as foreigners bought up cheap British assets.

If you own UK assets nothing changes.

If you own foreign assets they become more valuable in GBP.

It depends where your money is located.

We’d benefit ... but only if we’re taking our pension. Or if the pound stays low. If it reverses it depends on the balance between how much a pot I have saved already and how much I will be saving in the future. We’re at a sell high point in the market which doesn’t help those “buying” eg young savers. This was where I was confusing myself as pension pot values today only matter to pensioners.

Yes that is of course totally true but its the same as house prices, at the moment they make folk feel rich but are a real problem for the young.

things need a better balance but no one wants to lose out so round the merry go round goes again and the more debta builds

Is it not more difficult it spit on remainers and poor people while you keep your upper lip stiff?

I imagine it’s not a natural shape for your mouth to make while firing globules of flob onto people you don’t agree with.

Classic, unable to put together a reasoned statement so resort to insults and catch phrases meanwhile calling people you disagree with “brainless”.

Sterling work.
