Rip Sir Paddy..

Didn't agree with all of his politics but he was a good servant to his country and his party..

A good man. From a time when politics was respected.

A good honest man who cared more about the future of people in this country than the current shower do. He had integrity and we could do with more like him.

Shame. One less person with some experience and some sense of public service fewer at a time when we need more people to think big not small.

A great loss to ourselves as a Nation, and the Liberal Democracies everywhere. One of the few Men and Politicians out there who could say they tried to lead by example, and his life has resonance out there with many people.

We could do with someone who is willing to polity cause unintentional offence, in search of objective truths and hitting targets.

Always came across as a decent sort. And didn't he play a big role in trying to stabilise the Balkans after the collapse of Yugoslavia?
