Labour MP Ivan Lewis has just resigned from the Labour party. He will now stand as an independent MP. He gives his reason for leaving Labour as the failure of the Labour party under leader Jeremy Corbyn to deal with anti semitism, and says he can't reconcile his Jewish identity with the direction Labour has headed on this. Labour also lost another MP yesterday as she was convicted in a court of law of perverting justice over a speeding offence. Not been a good week for Corbyn has it. Merry Christmas

Two very different reasons for loss and perhaps unfair to bundle them together. I say good on Ivan for saying it as it is and taking a stance against it. As for miss "wasn't me officer" Onasanya what a deceitful twat. I have plenty of sympathy for Ivan and absolutely none for her. Your point that it's been a shit week for Jeremy does still stand though. Then again. It's been a shit week for everyone in politics!
