As Brexit rages on like a firestorm engulfing a forest. Normal government seems to have all but stopped.

The problems are numerous now. But point to a winter of discontent for us Brits.

1. Economic woes are starting to bite the UK economy with uncertainty on the political from markets are getting weaker.

2. The effects of outsourcing housing for asylum seekers to serco who in callous bid to turn a profit has caused an increase in racial tensions in Bolton as these seekers have been moved to depraved areas with not enough resources to cope with demand putting them into conflict with local residents.

3. The NHS warning about another winter crisis.

4. Small business going out of business since the exodus of EU workers leaving jobs.

5. Food banks recording record footfall this Xmas period due to a fall in real term living standards.

6. Homelessness increasing further.

Therefore the question is this.

How would you fix Broken Britain? And make it a country for all.

Make Governments and politicians accountable and accept that an increase in the amount of taxation collected is needed to fund an efficient civil service that itself becomes ring-fenced from political interference.

For example... The reason that widespread Nationalisation will not work in this country is because the sitting Govt gets to play politics with the budgets. Take the NHS as an example. It’s woes are down to political interference and it’s performance would measurably improve if it was ring fenced from political shenanigans.

Follow the Bank of England example giving it independence to set interest rates?

I think it's only part of the solution - the whole system as we know it needs changing - education, health, taxation the whole lot because it's broken!

Would be amazing. If only we hadn’t left Europe and lost our freedom of travel.

We could give up the UK to be a nation of leavers which is about 0.0001% of ultra rich controlling everything and the rest of you in poverty with your heads buried deeply in the sand. Sounds great.

Well having read a lot of these comments,I would start by asking people to be serious about the problems facing this country and just stop making stupid comments which you all seem to be doing.

It tells me that non of you really care as long as your all ok.Well lets start by being less selfish and working for the greater good

Rescind Article 50, have a proper votewithfacts this time, allowing people to make a genuine decision as opposed to being sold an impossible dream. Have a general election, probably see Corbyn and May disappear and hope that a social liberal democrat appeared with Excalibur to provide some genuine leadership for a change.

Probably stop politicians taking any pay beyond their salary and stop any ‘consultancies’ they have.

Make sure all income, whether earned or capital gain is subject to income tax. Only allowance is your home.

Hopefully we would stay in the Eu and we would start to take our place at the parliament, rather than allowing idiots like Farage to use it for self advancement.

& a white Xmas would be nice

No one is ok, when you know that there are problems in the UK.

It’s a problem that sensible people are being drowned out by idealogues, making impossible promises.

With a democracy which is not representative of the people this is the mess we are in.

Two minority governments recently which have to listen to the extreme factions and ignore the moderates.
