If you were PM, what would you improve on the deal and, more crucially, how would you convince the Eu to accept the change ?

I see it like this a photo you took but you like it but only by 10%. So you load it onto a photo editing app and fix the 90% of the faults and then you have the perfect image

I suspect it's this deal or no deal. The EU are having a few local difficulties with the Spanish over Gib and the french over fishing. They sure as hell dont want to renegotiate something a few days after concluding the talks. There may be a few tweaks still available, but it's pretty much take it or leave it time

i agree time is running out. But even putting that to one side, I’m not clear what the “better” deal labour, JRM, farage et al think they could broker. Despite the United front, the EU know they have to keep Germany, ireland and Spain etc happy with what they put forward.

I'd send that Zara Mcdermott lady along. She was on BBC doing a date with an EU fan yesterday and she had such beauty and intelligence and had all her answers lined up. She would sort the EU out in no time.

Go to Europe, explain that the deal has no chance of getting through Parliament, thank them for their help and say we are leaving with no deal, that we will operate a zero tarrif regime with the EU as long as they do but no ECJ rules, no CAP, no CFP, restrictions on free movement and no £39n payment and then leave.

There is even less chance of the UK Parliament approving that.

The problem is Parliament, like the country has a variety of views with no one really sure what they want. So I would launch the nuclear option and see what happened.

And if Parliament rejects your approach but approves the compromise, you are going back to Brussels with your tail between your legs.

Praise be to Gina Miller for having the courage to establish that “control” belongs to the country through our elected representatives and not a clique in Whitehall.

Ever looked into who was/is funding Gina Miller?

No deal but no tarriffs ? Either there’s a deal in there .... or it’s no tarriffs for everyone we trade with (but they can charge our exports a tarriff)

It's a semi deal, might fall foul of WTO rules but establishes a position which could allow for tariff free trade between UK and EU, a bit like a common market....

Breaks WTO RULES - unless we have zero tariffs with the whole world. Guess what would happen British industry, agriculture etc.

Bloody rules! Why don't we go back to the good old Empire days when we set the rules rather than followed them. Maybe that could be manifesto ??

I'd have to accept that once we've reached this point it's not really not appropriate to expect any further major amendments to this stage of the agreement, Stage 2 - the divorce bill etc. It may be feasible to attempt very minor adjustments but they certainly could not be upon the major issues/sticking points that the UK has held-up the EU for many months with.

I'd want some immediate sign-off for those issues that might arise from day 1 of departure, 2019: including travel and commerce. These would be covered by the transition period agreement but I'd like something more concrete now.

I'd also only move forwards after receiving written agreement that Article 50 could be revoked by the UK at any point whilst it's underway, should it be desired for any reason. (eg parliament's decision, change of government etc), as well as agreeing a 6-12 months extension to Article 50, as the UK have been so inept. Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris would be offered as upfront payment for this.

I'd love the UK to settle the divorce bill in £, rather than Euros, as the £ has sunk - and presumably will continue to sink further - meaning that the eventual cost of Brexit is going to rise significantly - and each UK citizen is going to have to pay more! But that's not realistic, as we've already signed to state we'll pay in Euros.

I'd also like to include the potential for UK citizens to have something akin to EU citizenship, if they wished to - it doesn't exist as an internationally recognised option.

As we now seem to have much more clarity about the alternative to being members of the EU, I’d offer a 2nd referendum and if the result was unclear I’d propose a general election.

This is too important to leave it to a bunch of numpties in Parliament. It needs to be sanctioned by the voters. A minority of the voting population voted for this approach, it is highly likely that many now think it is all lunacy and we should go back to where we were - a country where we respected others opinions & had a sense of humour...

Ah Gina Mills.

Didn't she manage to get the vote she wanted and then when they voted against her she called them all the names under the sun.

Hmmmm like some of my fellow remainers on here. A sore bitter twisted looser.

Again we lost suck it up.

You have had an election when Cameron offered a vote and the others would not.

The Government spent a lot of money on a leaflet for every house hold laying it out.

Don't forget the website.

You had a referendum vote when we remainers lost.

Blow me we then had a General Election when the party who backed the referendum won.

Just about but win they did.

In all that is unholy how many goes do you want or is it till you win.

You respect no one's opinion but your own.

How selfish.

Respect other people’s opinions, just seem to be the only one willing to let the people decide, what was proposed before this week was promises, we have now seen how crap reality actually is - so rightly people should be allowed to choose,

If a snake oil salesman promised you something, failed to deliver but promised again and again that he woould - who is the fool if they keep buying it...

"If I was the PM of the UK I'd give Ni back to the Republic to start"

Bit of a simplistic idea, it's not hers to give..

The very suggestion would have the barricades up in some parts of the province and a dusting off of weapons not handed in..

On the other hand maybe there would be legislation more fit for a modern society and not as it is now being more akin to the last century..

Put David Cameron in jail for having a referendum in the first place for all the needless expense it has caused.

What May does is really simple and no one will even notice.

She gets the Remainers whipped by telling them it is her deal or no deal and all the consequences of that.

She gets the Brexiters whipped by telling them that it is her deal or no Brexit and a “betrayal” (sic) of the will of the people.

They are all so fucking dumb, they wouldn’t even notice.
