"What always amazes me is how dogmatic some people are....the right is always wrong and the left is always correct.....or vice versa. Sticking to the left/right blame game always means that people are not willing to accept mistakes and learn from them. " I think it's the concept of 'blame', rather than responsibility, that's at the core of the problem - for reasons others have highlighted. We do have politicians that move on, retire etc, disappearing from the public sphere, where their contributions are overlooked. We tend to be very focused on the very immediate, rather than the bigger picture / longer view, usually with a government emphasis on the crisis of the day | |||
