On both sides! There were a lot of Germans who opposed Hitler and died in concentration camps!

Yes and it divided a lot of German families.

On one side of Mrs H's family was an officer in SS Leibstandarte who actually worked as a bodyguard for Hitler for a while.

On the other side her grandparents hid a Jewish family in the cellar for months.

I think many German families could tell similar stories.
