Exit polls looking very close.

There was discussion on here recently about Socialism and Sweden was held up (among other countries someone got completely wrong) as very left. However the news reports the Social Democrats as centre left??

Cannock

Both The Guardian and RT news are reporting the Swedish Democrat's who are considered to be the nationalist far right party in Sweden have made gains. How big the gains are remains to be seen.

That is right, they have made big gains too, it is suggested they could get as high as 31%. I am also watching it live on peter swedens utube channel.

It is over and the coalition won, the ones in red got 40.6, the blue 40.3, the m party got the majority which is in the blue in the coalition and sd that is on its own got 17.5 which is still an improvement since last time.

Now the alliance will form a new government and the current pm will step down or if not there will be a vote.

With more than 99% of the vote counted, the centre-left bloc is sitting on 40.6% and the centre-right on 40.2%.

The far right and the communists and the greens make up the rest.

Deadlock appears to be the result .

Volvo is now owned by the Chinese. As are many other companies and property in London. Many Swedish people voted for an anti immigrant party because they were not consulted if they wanted mass immigration which will change the nature of their country.

Yes, it seems to be a deadlock, it can take months to get a pm.

It's in the politics section of the forum. This section was made so that people who wanted to discuss politics could and those who didn't could easily avoid it.

Yes, nothing much is really happening, sd now can choose who the pm could be between ulf from moderaterna or the currdnt pm löfven to continue as pm, but then the other blocks could say something about it, it could take some time.

Yes it does, they dont like it as it is not democratic, even the green party with 4% have more say than other partys.

Yes, sd is back as the 3rd biggest party after the recount and now they are all shoosing who the pm will be, lots of talk between the blocks as they dont want the same person.

Today there have been a vote and the pm löfven have just been balloted, he will still be there until the government have build a new one, it is still not over and much can happen with the blocks who they vote for and löfven could come back, it could be a new election if there is no solution.
