"I wouldn't worry about it. Internet tough guys who rail against "immigrant scum" are ten a penny, and they wouldn't say boo to a goose in real life. There's a reason they fetishize people like Trump, he's boorish, proudly ignorant, and speaks the same racially charged language they do, but in public. He's everything they want to be, hence the defending to the hilt of his poor business career. I think its deeper. When people feel weak and threatened, some will listen to the chest beating person who promises to ue their immediate power/influence/wealth to go hard against *x issue* or *x group in society*. I think its a desire to find someone who has a quick fix solution. Rather than owing up to your own flaws (maybe you didntvstudy hard in school, or maybe when money was goid you spent it on booze rather than investing in upskilling or fisical investments). People don't go for the 5-10 year strategy for individual improvement which involves self sacrifice if there is the promise of the lazy option from another. You mean like socialists?
