Israel is certainly the US's most dependable ally and vise versa. In terms of significance to US, I am not really sure... perhaps the UK.

In what way? What does Israel do for the US?

Allow it to be their proxy power in the Middle East. Israel could just as easily have chosen Russia to bankroll it

Could also be Saudi Arabia. It was Saudi Arabia who did a deal with the USA decades ago to sell all of its oil under the petro dollar, making the dollar the dominant currency in the world, and Saudi Arabia one of the dominant oil producers in the world.

Saudi Arabia also has an alliance with Israel and the USA now against Iran.

America.

Under Trump, they no longer believe in "allies". Trump doesn't act as a president. He acts like a "supreme leader". Hence why he gravitates towards Russia and North Korea.

At the moment I don't see the US having any specific "good allies", but we will become their "special friends ally" once Trumps sets his eyes on a Country to invade.

Trump's spokesman said that there was a "special place in hell" for their PM, is that how close allies talk about their leaders?

Speaking as an American, the UK and Canada, without a doubt they are our closest allies. That being said, it's unfortunate we have an idiot for a president at this time. Let's just hope the next election isn't a mess up like the last one.

Why was it a mess up?
