An announcer on Fox News, Abby Huntsman, referred to the meeting US/North Korea get together this week as “that meeting between the two dictators”.

A wonderful Freudian slip

How long will she remain in her job, or will Trump rather like such a description? It's wonderful that this was on Fox, rather than CNN or MSNBC etc.

What would the right wing BBC Laura Kuenssberg or others use as descriptions of May, Boris and the other useless self-serving politicians, if they make similar faux pas?

Whatever it is he's meeting him for, if I was Kim, I wouldn't agree anything with Trump. He's not to be trusted, partly because he acts like a hormonal teenager changing his mind every two minutes and partly because it's all about what *he* can get out of it. Once Kim gives up his nuclear weapons, he's toast. And, I think, he knows it. It'll be very interesting to see who's the better poker player.

When I was serving in NI it was Carter and Reagan who allowed the provos and INLA to fund-raise and buy arms in the US (that's 1 democrat and 1 republican) and as far as I know it was Clinton who eventually put a stop to US money flowing into NI funding the troubles.

Kim is likely the most vulnerable, with much of the world against him over many years, whereas he other dictator is more powerful, able to upset their economies and possibly weaken the power of those who lead. Kim is probably likely to have had less harmful effects on the world when he dies than the orange one. I'd probably choose Kim as an enemy in favour of the other.

If you judge Kim by his portrayal in British media, then yes, you are likely to be led to form that view.

The recent history of Korea, from its annexation by Japan, the US plan to nuke the north and its positioning of 900 atom bombs in the south, through to the rise and fall of relations between the North and the USSR . . . it's worth a read if you want to know where Kim comes from.

I find it very amusing that the same people who were throwing their arms in the air about Trump starting a nuclear war with Korea are now complaining that he is being too engaging with Kim. Lets wait and see what he achieves. It is possible that he has done something amazing that no other president was capable of, but it is early days yet.

Regarding ME, need the Palestinians to play ball and renounce terrorism and accept Israel- Israel has always been ready, but is not going to negotiate with people who want to destroy her, anymore than UK was willing to negotiate with IRA while weaponised.

There are about 3 different things to deal with here.

Firstly, I would not put Trump in a cell, that is for the American (US) people to do. Second, I do believe that the GFA magically popped into existence in 98 but was the product of years of negotiations, and the relaxing and repealing of laws that effectively made any sort of political contact between the British Government, Nationalists and Unionists impossible (the government can't enter into negotiations with people who the governments own laws make wanted criminals if they openly represent the cause we all know represent). I believe that if you look slightly deeper than the surface you will find that Bill Clinton was progressing the very negotiations that led to the GFA. But hey you have it your way.

Finally, my comment was passed about the relative merits of the positions of 2 British institutions. JLR, a publicly traded PLC where the directors have a legal duty to their shareholders to maximise profits withing the law. They have no other duty in law but that.

However, every member of Parliament who takes up their seat must swear and oath of allegiance to crown and country and every Minister of the Crown is by dent of their position a Crown Servant with duties to protect the Crown and State before all else. My contention is that JLR have broken no laws but when Ministers of The Crown and Members of Parliament misrepresent fact to the detriment of the Nation then they commit Treason and should be dealt with according to law.

I saw the report last night. Literally disgraceful. And despite condemnation from all sides (even his wife) he's not budging. Using Europe as an example to justify it. So the Donald withdrew from the Paris Climate accord because it was too unfair on the USA. Problem with that is every country that signed up to is set its own targets. So to use an American idiom the Trumpster was just 'full of shit!'The only reason your president pulled out of the Iran deal is it had Obama's name on it, FFS at his first pardoning of the Thanksgiving turkeys he said if he could he would have ordered the slaughtering and eating of the 2 birds still alive that Obama pardoned. And the pallets of cash you mention were not your money, it was Iran's money held in your banks that your government had sized.

As for his starting a trade war with the world that is just vintage Trump. It is how he has run his businesses all his life. He is a gouger, fraudster, confidence trickster and mob money launderer who thinks he can treat the rest of the world the way he has treated nearly every poor shmuck that has had the misfortune to believe that he would honour any deal he has ever made.

Why did you elect him? As far as I am aware, he lost the popular vote by some 3 MILLION votes and was selected by an electoral college system that really is not fit for purpose because the vast majority of states give all electoral college votes to the state winner regardless of how close the result is. The fact that the political establishment of the USA are happy to let such a system continue without reform, just as they are happy to stand idly by while children are sacrificed in ever increasing numbers to placate an organisation of 2 million members in a country of about 300 million and the American people are not bringing the country to a standstill in order to force your politicians to act says a lot more about you than it does about the rest of the world.

As for us minding our own, we would do so happily if you would stop destabilising the world because you see an opportunity to make a quick buck, because you've been at this now since the 50's and so far it has not worked anywhere.

But hey ho, Bubba has the biggest guns and likes playing with them so the rest of us better get used to it. After reading all the comments in this forum since I replied to it before, I couldn't help but reply once again. Anyone with any brain matter between their ears knows trump is trash, period. Our presidential election was seriously effected by outside tapering, and inside tampering as well, that is a fact.

He has lied more than 3000 times since he took office, that is a fact.

He hasn't fulfilled any of his campaign promises,

thank god, that is a fact.

Most politicians and presidents are corrupt, they

lie, cheat, and do many other things that should

not be acceptable in a civilized society, I will

agree on that with no argument. But, that being

said, trump is by far the worst I've known in my

lifetime.

As far as immigration on our southern border.

Sure, things need to change, and has needed it

for a very long time, but that can be

accomplished humanly with time and

compromise. But, taking children, and babies,

away from their parents, is an absolute atrocity. These parents are fleeing the atrocities of their countries for their children sake, they have absolutely "nothing" left but their family. Many of these children will never be reunited with their parents, and the ones that are lucky enough to be reunited, may still be mentally scarred for

life because of this atrocity. Any parent that loves their children, regardless of political affiliation, should be sickened by this presidents order to take these children away from their parents. These parents are "not" criminals by any definition of the word, they just want to be safe and make a better life for their children. This

atrocity was done to my own Native American

ancestors in the 1800's, which was just one of the many atrocities inflicted. History tends to

repeat itself when you don't learn from it.

Even though it is kinda of funny,that when President Obama's administration was doing this,not a peep. We are trying to solve this issue one way or another. It might appear ugly to some,but we are trying. We did the blanket amnesty back in the 80's for millions and put new laws on the books, which some have never been actually enforced , at the President's discretion. But we did pretty much nothing to secure the border and find ourselves in the same fix again. We cannot continue to have a porous border and continue as a nation. I can already see the cracks of tribalism appearing and sorry to say within 30 yrs.,the United States of America as you know it now will no longer exist. So that's my two cents for what it's worth. The people do,as I still hope but the way the politicians are running some area's it is hard to tell anymore. California and New York are Democrat strongholds and two of the most populous state's. Here in Texas , Republican leaning. There is even a proposal on the ballet to split California into three separate state's . The more conservative rural areas feel underrepresented by being outvoted by the liberal big cities. Hope that helps. The one ,for California to secede didn't make it on the ballet. So we're having a few issues. But I hope that when it get's down to it, being an American from anywhere in the country still means something to each other. Hope that helps.

Hold on! Up until yesterday it was absolutely fine that Trump was doing what he was doing because you have a great immigration problem. Today (after he got hammered from all sides - nationally and internationally) he "halts" that practice and all is good. In his mind (and from your posts, I assume, yours too), it wasn't wrong yesterday and it still isn't today. You only go with it because the world was horrified by what we saw. NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING, justifies such treatment of human beings, especially children. I understand you have a problem with immigration but supporting someone like Trump so blindly, says a lot about your moral compass too (talking about his supporters in general).

And, btw, the United States of America as *you* know it today, hasn't been the same 30 years ago and, more notably, 300 years ago either (wink wink). Why should it be the same 30 years from now?

Thanks. In Europe, there is a growing discord between the richer nations and the poorer nations and those that are seeing increased migration against those that are avoiding/evading it.

Let's hoping that solutions will be found to all problems.

You are arrested for violating our border ,your children are not going to the same holding facility. And again where was the outrage when Obama was doing it. If I as a citizen break a law, my kids don't accompany me to prison. No I don't agree with the law as written, but we have for far too long not enforced it and others. One of the reasons President Trump was elected was to start enforcing the laws on the books. You either have rule of law or anarchy. That might seem harsh but it is what it is. Maybe we will wait and see how Europe handles the 80,000 marching up through the Balkans and learn something.

That is not true... the way the law was enforced before was that if they crossed the border they were assumed to be claiming asylum which makes the act legal and they were registered and told to make an immigration court on a certain date... the way the law is now being enforced is that people are being treated as criminal for crossing the border unless they say they are claiming asylum ( and they have said fleeing gangs for fear of death is not a good enough reason anymore) the zero tolerance part is all trump and sessions and that is what has caused this issue

No. The law gave the latitude to not forcibly separate children from their families, because that's needlessly cruel. There's a reason previous administrations haven't played at being child catchers.

This administration however, specifically Trump, Miller and racist keebler elf Jeff Sessions, decided that being needlessly cruel to brown people was exactly what they want to do.

Pretending that they're "just implementing the law" is just water carrying for cowards.

I find pointing out facts to Americans about their country both strange and condescending. But while republicans look for ways to gerrymander the Californian electorate as they have gerrymandered so many other states I think the American people would do well to remember that California is home to about 13% of the American population and on its own is the 5th largest economy in the world. California does not need the USA, I would not say the opposite is true.

Any comments from our Trump supporters about the 'Tender Years' camps? They are the 'special' secret camps set up to hold toddlers to 6 year olds.

Or the fact that Trump and the DoJ are now using DoD (JAG) lawyers to prosecute those they are now holding in Trumps internment camps?

Or that ICE now thinks its OK moving children in the dead of night when local journalists discover children being held in New York city?

Or that commercial flights have been used to move many of these children across the country reinforcing the trauma they have already suffered?

I wonder how many of these children will grow up to hate the USA? I wonder how many future anti American terrorists Trump has manufactured in the last few days, would anyone like to have a guess? How many think the number is zero?
