Hey.

Amber,

It's not that we are forcing you to go.

Just that this paperwork meant you didn't have the right to stay.

#Windrush.

But who was it that threw the immigration cards away in 2009 without checking the status of the people who came in ?

The Tories. In 2010.

Bristol East

To be fair, back in 2009 or 2010 no-one could have foreseen the poisonous policy of Theresa May at the Home Office.

The problem wasn't so much caused by the cards but by the culture she created - deport first, appeal later; vans going round with loudspeakers telling people to go home, etc.

Setting targets meant innocent people never stood a chance against the government system - it was more important to deport as many as possible than it was to consider them on a case by case basis.

Amber Rudd may have "taken one for the team". But the shame of this stains Theresa May.

Actually, you say that, but there was a woman interviewed who still had an old passport but was refused a new one., so the point I'm making is as far as labour wera concerned they considered them uk citizens?

Is that your excuse?! So it's ok to treat people like shit?

You should be on the tory cabinet!

Fact remains there is documentary evidence dismissed on bullshit red tape.
