Britain has gone from being a nation once famed for its stable and pragmatic parliamentary democracy to a country that at war with itself, should they just reverse brexit and forget it happened, as d-day approaches quickly? Whats your view?

No let them carry on.

We should allow the big red brexit bus to fall off the cliff with all the brexiter MPs onboard. Its a good way clean out the trash.Give em enough rope and all that.

Many do and have said that on here constantly whenever someone trots out that now tired and discredited cliche as you have..

What is not accepted is the shambles in how it's being done and the direction of travel with the possible negative consequences for the country..

Ironically its part of our democracy that we don't have to be dictated to by people who like you who can't seem to grasp the fundamental basics of what our democracy actually is..

So to clarify as you don't seem to listen and understand thus far, the vote decision is accepted and respected but the right to campaign on the end position is still the case and long may it be so..

With you on that, that is why when I voted I voted out. I think it is the only way we will ever be rid of the tory rump of, entitled and self interested to the exclusion of all other consideration, little englanders.

Very true, that's exactly what democracy is.

What RareCask wants is democracy to get a decision that fits then a dictatorship to ram it through and allow no challenge to it.

Britain used to see itself as a stabilising force in a chaotic world. Now, the world sees Britain as a destabilising force, a country obsessed with past glories of global domination because it has no vision of its future place in the world.

Every empire implodes - and this is death throes of the British one. It will be complete when the UK - the state upon which British imperialism was founded itself disintegrates.

Whether Brexit gets revered or not, I personally think that the U.K. has now taken its first steps towards its own breakdown and that will be a lot more difficult and soul destroying than whatever happens with its membership of the EU.

It is now just a matter of time as to whether Scotland has another indy ref first or whether the changing demographics in N Ireland bring about reunification first. Whichever comes first, the next will follow and the question then is will the Welsh stay attached to England politically or will they too go their own way at some point?

I think that the next 10-20 years will be monumental in the history of this country and at the end of it, there will be just fragments surrounding a few million snarling Little Englanders.

Wonder if you want to see Cobyn and McDonnel on that bus, being the lifelong Eurosceptic brexiters that they really are.

Yes, britain will be a very lonely place in a big world with no allies, no trade deals, no brexit contingency plan, it will go from for example 65 deals with tesco to a corner shop with 1

"

nope, Remainers who LOST, should accept the democracy of the vote."

No, the margin was nowhere near large enough to trigger such a decision.

Do you not realise the rest of the world wa only interested in the UK whilst a major player in the EU?

The pound lost nearly 20% of its value overnight such was the world’s opinion.

Toyota has proudly announced that it is going to build the next Prius model here in the UK. A cynical statement. The life of a model is 4 years. I predict that they will begin to move equipment out of the country and the following model will be built in an Eastern Europe country that remains a member.

Fortunately I am now retired and will not really be affected by this stupid process.

The reality is 1.2m people more voted to leave, do we tell them their votes don’t matter. I’m pretty sure no one can see into the future so who knows what Brexit will bring, however any of you guys who are so sure we’re doomed can you please have a look in your crystal ball and pass on next weeks lotto numbers.

You do know that just months before the referendum the IMF, the OECD and the BoE were all saying that sterling was up to 20% overvalued, don't you?

Central

The representatives of the people, as well as the population of the UK, should vote to accept or reject the final deal for leaving the EU. If it's not worth it, then Brexit should of course be canceled, due to the sovereignty of the land.
