Is Desmond Tutu someone that you admire? He has stepped aside from his role connected with Oxfam, as a result of the recent news of their staffs' behaviour and how the charity has handled such issues for several years.

The first black head of the Anglican church in South Africa, he spoke out loudly against apartheid. He received a Nobel peace prize in recognition of his efforts.

He's campaigned on many fronts, Isreal, cypriot reunification and many others. He's been critical of the Anglican church for its obsessive action against gay equality, whilst doing insufficient to tackle poverty.

A small bit of information about him.

he has to be admired as a role model for calling out racists who were in denial of their racism ... we could with him spending some time in this country at this present time and he'd absolutely have his work cut out for him

Are you sure?

I always Herd that before he savaged Thatcher in the commons and started the revolt that forced her out of office, a third was called a Richard and a second class honours a 22...

But then I only have an MA so accept that I would have no idea what science graduates call a richard.
