"I think that the tax dodging owners of the Mail will have a lot to lose when the pan European tax assimilation system arrives. There will be no hiding place in any European country for anyone with unbalanced assets and bank accounts. That is a fairly big motivation for the Mail to mobilise it’s army of patriots. " Interestingly Paul Dacre has personally earned £500000 in farm subsidies since 2011. Just saying.

"Me personally think it’s not just The Mail but as long as the reporting is accurate why not do we not have the right to know and you’ll always get the idiots morons whatever you want to call them sending death threats or similar it’s them that needs stoping not the reporting " . Because we've moved into this bizarre second wave of responsibility where it's no longer the individuals fault but the collectives, it's Borg mentality

"I don’t think I ever have read a paper from the easy reading of The Sun or The Mirror to the middle class of The Mail right up to the broadsheets they all have a political leaning and so an agenda so if we can complain about the mail in realism we can complain about them all" I agree, and I think all papers should be forced to act responsibly or face severe sanctions.

"The mail could ask for lynchings in the street from lamp posts and their readers would cheer and bay for blood. That paper has blood on its hands. It incites racial hatred and violence.I blame the filth that buys it as they are complicit." I saw a comment on either the Mail or Sun's website saying something like 'They should be publicly hanged' and 'they should have their hands cut off'. It was obviously a regular poster as the comment in reply said something like 'As someone who is so anti-Islam from your previous comments, you sure seem to like borrowing a lot of their ideas from Sharia law'. Made me chuckle. -Matt

I have known many a mail reader from all walks of life, colour, creed & religion and filth is not what I’d call them I think you need to get out of FAB mode re-read the question research a little and put your brains where they belong not where the obviously are now

You may think mail readers are perfectly lovely people, the mail itself shows otherwise.

This bullshit attitude of "everyone is just as bad" when it isnt true at all. Pick the Mail and the Guardian and show me how theyre equally as bad? Has the Guardian called judges or any other British civil servant "enemies of the state"? Has the Guardian, in the year since an MP was murdered by a Brexiter extremist, called any MPs traitors to their country? Has The Guardian published (on average) a front page headline decrying foreigners twice a week for 5 years? Has the Guardian blamed Autism on women being in the workplace instead of at home? Is The Guardian the leading paper for news complaints or successful lible lawsuits?

"I would prefer to see consumer action, rather than legal action. " The Daily Mail's circulation figures are down significantly since last year. A lot of Consecutive voters are very much against BREXIT and even some more reasonable BREXITers were horrified at the 'enemy of the people' attack on the supreme court judges. Personally I'm not in favour of sorting this issue out by legislation. I believe this would probably cause more problems than it solves. We just have to keep on putting the arguments and facts as best we can.

The Telegraph has a similar bias but most people are not calling for any action against it. The problem with the Mail is not that it is politically biased, as you say, they all are; the problem is, is the Mail deliberately inciting hatred or possibly even violence?

"One MP, John Stevenson, voted both ways, so effectively abstained. Interestingly, two Labour MPs, Frank Field and Kate Hoey defied their party whip and voted with the Goverment. " Surely voting twice is not allowed / illegal? Also since voting in the commons means “walking through the lobbies”.....which are separate from each other.... I’m not sure how he could do that?

I believe that is the way that vote abstentions are done in the Commons. Not turning up to vote would show up on your voting record, although the result would be the same.

No, you can't vote both ways. European Union (Withdrawal) Bill — Clause 9 — Regulations to Implement Withdrawal Agreement — Report on Reciprocal Healthcare Agreements — Veto for Devolved Administrations Division number 70 in the House of Commons on 13 December 2017. In the above mentioned vote, he voted against. You can see is voting record on They Work For You.

They didn't vote twice, they voted once, with the government and against the opposition whip. Whilst I don't agree with their argument for voting against the amendment I respect their absolute right to vote in the way they believe to be in the best interests of their constituents and the country. If the rest of parliament did their duty and voted for what they truly believed to be the best interests of their constituents and the country we could have this whole BREXIT thing binned and thrown out in less than a week.

"The mail is not perfect, but it courageously openly named the killers of Stephen Lawrence, when other papers wouldn't dare, aiding in there eventual conviction for murder, when the police had failed him miserably, allowing the thugs to go free. " Doesnt it say a lot that everyone kmows the ONE good thing that papers done in the last 30 years? Its the only thing that keeps people saying its been 100% a blight on society.

To be fair, if you're not left of centre, then up until 10 years ago or so, you probably didn't really think it was so bad. It's only really been in the last 10 years or so that I've found it quite as screechy and full of vitriol as it seems to be now. For a long time it's been further right of where I stand but, for a long time also, I considered it for news content probably the best of all the tabloids, and in fact, compared to The Sun, Star, Mirror or even the Express, it still is. I'm really not sure how we can move forward with this one. Maybe if we all stopped attacking the press just because it doesn't say what we want to hear and saved our attacks for when they really do step over a line like calling people traitors or enemies of the people for simply doing there duty and job, the criticism might carry more wait?

You left wingers do not want a debate you want to impose your views on others and are never interested in constructed dis cussion or democracy" On the BREXITY issue I'd say it's the right wing neo-nationalist who are the ones who won't debate, our hell bent on imposing their views on all, have no real interest in any constructive discussion on the issues, even to the extend they feel it's right to try and intimidate Parliament and MPs from doing their duty and job, which is to discuss it and scrutinise it and then do what they believe to be best for country.

"The Mail is like trump, it has a core audience and it appeals to that audience. As this audience is the "string em up the scum " type it's simply using their language back to them. Should they be prosecuted? I'd like to see it, they have no concept about social responsibility and frankly,I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than put any money their way." Correct! If people are stupid enough to buy it, You get the papers you deserve.
