"It's got to be May for repeatedly saying that she wouldn't call a GE, then doing so, losing her majority and having to bribe the DUP for support. Theresa May looks solid as a rock compared to someone like Angela Merkel in Germany. Theresa May formed a working partnership with the DUP in a very short space of time and now has a working majority in the House of Commons. By comparison Merkel took a spanking in the German elections and has failed miserably to form any kind of coalition or working partnership with anyone. Merkel is looking at running a minority government or faces fresh new elections in the new year where she could possibly lose even more votes.
Back to the situation in the UK, the tories just overtook Labour again in the latest polls over the weekend, the tories are moving forwards while labour are going backwards, which is not surprising considering Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell practically admitted last week Labour's spending plans are not fully costed and he doesn't need to know the figure because he has a "ipad".
