Your Political Compass

Economic Left/Right: -6.63

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.77

Makes me a left social libertarian. I guess I shifted more to the left after 2 years.

Whenever I do the faceache political compass tests I come out as being around 95% Green, 90% Labour, 45% Lib Dem, 15% UKIP and 5% Conservative (I think the last 2 are because of my views on defence)...

Most people could be more left economically than they think. But you're more centre. Did it surprise you?

I think the political compass would be better if instead of left-right it was collectivism-Individualism and instead of authoritarianism-libertarianism it was positive-negative rights.

Or maybe something to do with property rights.

The left right paradigm is used to keep people thinking inside the box the people in power have set up.

Yes. Since I'm thought to be centre.

But yes the political compass breaks the left right split. Which is why Nazis and revolutionaries are close. But I know in the Netherlands we have right libertarians. A factor no party in the UK has. Maybe that's the key to the country.
