Wait one minute.... So for years you've been saying you can't trust anything shown on fox news but now...

Low and behold it's "real journalism"!! .

It seems were only meant to trust and call journalism "real" if it's reporting shit we "like".

squirrel!!

Nixon used to use the IRS to go after Democrat donors. I was quite surprised to see Jeff Sessions to appear unenthusiastic about the proposal yesterday even after a lot of encouragement from republican congressman.

Apart from that the news article is not quite telling us the whole story.

Firstly it missed out telling us that rosatom was already under investigation by the FBI for bribery, kickbacks and corruption before and during the 9 departments approval of the deal.

It missed out telling us that rosatom agreed not to export any uranium mined from the USA but has done several times under second party licenses.

It failed to mention that the Clinton Foundation broke it's own rules on donation transparency agreed by Obama by taking the 145 million.

.

And lastly it failed to mention why the media, the US gov and 19 US security agencies think Russia can't be trusted with a fucking TV station like RT and yet somehow can be trusted with 20% of your uranium

obviously shep was taken round the back and shot after this broadcast..... he will be "retrained" and be back on monday!!!!

seriously though i feel for Shep Smith and Chris wallace for wanting to make Fox News credible.... and they are the two on-air people who make it very aware that the fox news division and the fox opinion talking heads are two different deptartments...... and you can tell those two get pissed off a lot and being tied to the likes of hannity, o'reilly, tucker carlson ect

for the amount of money fox have to pay shep smith and chris wallace to stay (a LOT!) they can try and fight the good fight from there!!!!

Fox went to court to argue that it was entertainment not news, so they can say whatever they want.

I think the take away from this is that no matter what, the real villain is always Hillary Clinton.

Her reach is infinite, her resources unlimited, her schemes would give Machiavelli an erection lasting well beyond the point where you should go see a doctor.

Why, just this morning the dark forces of Hillary Clinton made sure I forgot my lunch.

Is there no limit to her devilry?

I actually think the takeaway from this is..... Politics and politicians look after and side with politics and politicians.

I dunno maybe the republicans who've lowered taxs for the rich upped taxs for the poor, cut health care and illegally invaded countries and killed hundreds of thousands have suddenly and overwhelmingly got a conscience about having trump as a president?.

I can't think of a single senior republican who's stuck up for him despite having done nothing that they didn't do (I personally think he's done less than Bush).

.

The two party pat each other on the back system which both parties like as they meander back and forth in power is really what's at stake (not really much difference between Tories and labour).. Hence why the republicans and the democrats are rallying around and we can't have the democrats looking like there just as bad right now for that little Circus to succeed and so we get this media frenzy into trumps goings on while not really looking to deep unless there forced to at anybody else's misdemeanors

Neither side is actually doing anything for the ordinary working person.

Republicans are great at sucking up to billionaires and the democrats great at sucking upto corporations.... Between them that leaves everybody else screwed

We ARE talking about two sides of USA policy here aren’t we?

So the sidelines is exactly where we sit. Distant observers as we have no vote or influence.

Speak for yourself. U.S. citizen here. The "both sides" fallacy is not unique to American politics. It encourages apathy and reduce voter turnout which is bad for democracy.

Abstention is no different to what I described.

It's also a tacit endorsement of the status quo, which really tends to stick in the craw of people who think that abstaining is a good idea.

Not to belabour a point, but the current self inflicted gunshot wound that the UK is hell bent on giving itself is only happening because people reckoned that they could make a difference, and chose to vote.

And that only happened because enough people decided to vote for the "I'm not racist, but.." Party rather than sit on their hands and do nothing, which forced the issue.

A long list of problems with the US doesn't really mean much. All you've basically told us all that because bad things happen you can't be bothered doing anything. And all that is is a tacit approval of the current system that you have such poorly defined problems with.

And not voting isn't civil disobedience, it's self marginalisation. When it comes to political representation, people who don't vote, don't matter.

So called 'real change' seldom actually brings the real change the people who thing they want it want. The only real change so called 'real change' normally brings is in the people in charge and the people being exploited. BREXIT is a case in point:- Instead of having to abide by a set of rules that we have some say in making when it comes to trading in Europe we'll now have to abide by a set of rules made exclusively by other people: Instead of being bond by the rulings of a court of arbitration that has British Judges sitting on it (the ECJ) we'll now have to be bound by the rulings of some other court of binding arbitration which may or may not be the ECJ and may or may not have British Judges sitting on it: Instead of having moderately cheap labour from Europe we'll now have really cheap labour from India, Africa and South America. Basically this last attempt at 'real change' is only changing those at the top and those at the bottom with the only real change for most of us being even less control over who those people are.

So, when you talk about 'real change' what is it exactly that you want to really change, how to you propose to really make this 'real change' and, if it's anything like the 'real change' that BREXIT was meant to be, how is it going to make any real change for the better for anyone?
