Robert Mugabe has been made a good will ambassador for the WHO. I checked the calendar and it's definitely not April 1st. Your thoughts.

The new world order? Is this man not one of the worst examples of mankind? Guilty of wrecking his own country, murdering any opposition, corruption and probably should be in the Hague charged with war crimes. I will never donate to WHO again as long as I live!

He is not a man I would have expected to be given any sort of UN roll. But he is very influential in Africa so maybe that is the reason behind the appointment.

The World health authority wants to help people. If they feel that mugabe might be useful. Its fine by me.Those who get their panties twisted over this are being silly.Mugabe is a product of his time created from the death throws of colonialism.

Yeah, there'll be political reasons why he has it. Plus, he's pretty old, so the chances are they can get whatever gains or agreements they need and move on fairly soon.

And it's not like these ambassadors hold power in their roles. Katie Perry is one. And the fictional character Wonder Woman was a woman's ambassador or something?

because the last time i saw the words "mugabe" and " goodwill ambassador" together was when thatcher was giving him an honorary knighthood.... so its been a while...

bearing in mind mugabes opinions of AIDS and gay peoples, its a strange appointment...

it would be a bit like giving the head of IS a goodwill role with UNESCO.....

Yes Mugabe did try to for many years to protect 5000 white farmers who owned 75% of the land. The British goverment loved him and when he massacred a blacj tribe in 1984 the British goverment gave him a honorary knighthood. .

Yes Zuma is looking at land redistribution and Mugabe is cheering him on.In fact they both regard this issue as a failure of the Mandela years.

All roads lead to the same destination. They all choose different routes. You can compare Mugabe to Mandela. Malcom to Martin .

.All have merit and a common cause. Its the methodology thats different. All these people and Antifa and BLM are just a reaction to a system that fails them..
