Will the frothing at the mouth right wingers allow her to continue to wield her power over the Brexit success story?

No, that can't be OP. I'm pretty sure that was a red line. You know, from the red white and blue Brexit May talked about. Red for our red lines, blue for all the problems that keep coming out of the blue (who knew it would be so complicated!) and finally white, for the flag of surrender when the brexiters realise they didn't achieve anything they set out and the EU didn't budge from their positions laid out before the referendum.

I looked up the word "transition"... it means, basically, a movement from one state of affairs to another.

It starts where we are now....and "transitions" or moves to another state..... By definition it must start with ECJ control....and move, during the period, to whatever is agreed as the end position.

Maybe the brexiters (both left and right....as many labour voters are included in those ranks)... maybe they didn't realise the reality of the situation.

True, on another thread a brexiter is totally unaware that the FTAs we have with 3rd countries (non-EU) will come to an end when we leave the EU.

Well brexiters think that all you have to do is copy and paste a trade agreement and everything will be fine. Little do they realise but many countries are objecting to something as straightforward as the EU and the UK dividing their WTO trade obligations between them.

The difficulty of negotiating with the EU is going to be a walk in the park compared to negotiating 100+ trade deals that need to be replaced.

There is also the small fact that out world trade negotiation team has been integrated into the EU for an entire careers length... while those we are negotiating with do the job all day long... bit like a school football team in the premier division...

The reason I voted out was to get rid of the European court etc so I would be fuming.

Tbh you being a TV i would had thought you would had embraced the ECJ....just a thought...what if we get to a situation were you have the likes of Jacob Rees Mogg making up these laws ?

I think that the majority of the population have been ignorant of the vast accomplishment that being in Europe has achieved, just to keep life running for us all. As others point out, they have been doing what would take a large body of highly skilled civil servants etc to achieve

The need for the ECJ or a new non-UK legal body to oversee us, was widely informed prior to voting, whilst rabid Boris types moaned their pledges about sovereignty, almost as if we got a new set of crown jewels for our courts.

I think far more intelligence was required from the government to the citizens prior to the vote, to ensure there could be informed opinion

The parliament sewerage system is in an awful state. The Brexit crowd and other Tories are a major contamination of these lands. More toxic shit that's going to take far too long to get rid of.

Alas too many people were conned into thinking that the Tories could deliver their Brexit unicorns to them. I think they are starting to realise a bit too late that is has all been bullshit all along.

Fact is Brexit is a made up word, the only defined definition of it is it means Brexit.

I am sure the Oxford English dictionary would not have sold many copies if it defined all meanings as such, e.g. Apple, means Apple. Ostrich means Ostrich etc.

Possibly in decades to come we will have a new swear word:

Brexit means total fuck up.

At the moment

Brexit means nothing at all, an undefined statement
