I'll not take the job ..... I'm sure they will offer it to me,,,,,, but it would mean a knighthood and I'm not that pretentions

He has moved departments to work as Mrs May's advisor on Brexit, but will still lead the UK's negotiating team.

His deputy, Phillip Rycroft, has moved up to fill the vacant position.
