Absolutely fantastic to see £200m investment in social housing across the Midlands and the North. Especially good that its going to tenants with disabilities.

The devil is in the detail. I bet that when those become known that it will not look like good news at all.

The headline looks great, but that was as far as I could go without registering!

As Will said, the devil is in the detail! A quick search on Civitas Social Housing plc and this came up...

https://www.propertytribes.com/civitas-social-housing-plc-t-127627735.html

25 year contracts with initial yields at 6%+ and then cpi / cpi+1 annual rent increases...

Highway robbery!! Sounds like the tenants were better off as they were!

I've often wondered, why are people allowed to stay in a council house when they earn a good wage? Surely the welfare accommodation should be for those people who need it now, not the people who needed it 20 years previous?
