The dutch pm tells people living in britain who want to avoid problems after brexit that dual nationality is not an option.

About 100,000 dutch nationals living in britain face an uncertain future after march 2019, the uk and eu are yet to reconcile their differences on the citizens’ rights issue, with brussels describing the british governments initial offer as vague and inadequate, that is not very humane is it?

The message you post and your header are two different things. Did he really say Dutch would lose their Dutch citizenship or did he say accepting the British passport wouldn't necessarily solve their problem. Mind you that the NetherlNds do accept double citizenship

Is this a new story? I seem to remember the Dutch proposing to tighten up on dual-citizenship years ago, certainly before Brexit.

he's said they would lose their dutch citerzenship id they become a uk citerzen

That is right they would as the brexit rules woulnt accept if they had a dual one.

Not sure, although it was big news, maibe more now as they voted brexit.
