"ahh we have shaken it again 1 3 billion for educationwish i had that tree in my back garden,"

Not to mention £6.6 billion on that massive white elephant, HS2.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

This particularly tree is more gathering up fallen leaves and hoping it's enough to meet the 'new' commitment to education. It's yet to be announced which bits of education spend are to be cut.

"ahh we have shaken it again 1 3 billion for educationwish i had that tree in my back garden,"

The guy in the audience on the last episode of BBC Question Time in Burton on Trent had the best line of the programme when he said....."if the tories have a magic money tree then Labour must have a magic money forest for all the things they are promising".

Soooo Funny!

I almost wet myself laughing.

Sounds like a typical Tory backtracking from the very point that his party made during the election.

He's blinkered I'm afraid

But Labour produced a fully costed manifesto, and the conservatives didn't.

Hang on, was a £billion for ten votes in their manifesto?

HS2

1. Already budgeted for @ £57 billion

2. Not a Tory idea in first place but supported by ALL major parties.

Still a bloody stupid idea....but hardly a political point currently!

Turns out they didn't! Having now backtracked on the tuition fees and cancelling student debt thing...basically a lie to gain the student vote!

Not new money, simply taking money already pledged for education spending and putting it elsewhere....so a pretend money tree

Why not?

Given current austerity measures, it could have been cancelled.

We need better infrastructure, we can't put building it off for ever.
