I think the amount of resentment and anger may has generated between her minsters, MPs and party members will push her out. I think a week is too soon but who knows in this day and age.

She will be saved by the very reason she is in such trouble..Brexit negotiations are too close to starting for there to be a change.......But if it appears that the other countries leak what is being said and it does not suit the hard liners........Well again she will then be removed..

The irony is that everyone is focusing on brexit. May also called the GE to give philip hammond more wiggle room on cuts and tax levis.

Now their in alliance with the DUP who are less than liberal, but quite left of the new tory manifesoto on spending and economics. They would be more likely prop up labour on the NHS and such.

So mrs may has her brexit support from them, but direct opposition to her economic plans.

on the hill NordWest of

She called a general election to get the peoples mandate. She clearly failed to achieve that, but with the arrogance that comes with power she retreats into denial and digs her heels in. She's damaged good and won't be taken seriously.

"Yes she will be and osborn is right, it is just a matter of time before she goes, the reason is cos she dont believe in brexit and who does lol."

Nah she didn't get the mandate for two main reasons.

1.) The arrogance with which she tried to shove hard right tory domestic ideas down a generally centrist population's throats, then she looked down her nose at the population (especially in the north and wales) when they gave her criticisms and her response was just "trust me and give me a mandate".

2.) Her mantra of "No deal is better than a bad one." For all I know this might be true, but for fucks sake you have to argue the bloody point. People want details, especially in the South where a lot more infrastructure is tied to the EU, and in city centres with strong links to european and international businesses.

She thought brexit, the UKIP vote and the arrogance of Junker would carry her through and she massively miscalculated in a way which mimics the arrogant commanders of ancient Rome.

Central

She's gone in all but body now - the party don't want her. How long can they suffer and tolerate someone who needlessly has cost them 3 years of power and probably prevented them getting the hard brexit that they want.

The Cons don't do loyalty - she would be put out to die, without even the benefits of a dementia tax cap.

Election within a year. May gone sooner

The longer she stays clinging on to power the more damage she does and the more un-electable the torys become going forward.

We need at least a decade of them wandering in the political wilderness to recover from the damage they have caused to the country

I like your optimism .I'm not convinced the tory party would gamble on her.It would be a very clever or very stupid move.Brexit stirred up things on race and immigration.

BREXITers would love Pritti. A strong BREXITer backing hard BREXIT and her heritage would allow them to say "nothing xenophobic or racist here"

Bristol

The only problem with Priti Patel is that she's a known idiot.

They have literally one single credible choice for a new leader, and that's Hammond.

Who none of the Brexiters can stand, because he actually has some idea of what he's talking about.

A second generation refugee... interesting.

It's like when Sanchez joined arsenal and I'm a spurs fan. I wanted Sanchez to score loads of goals as long as spurs score more goals.
