Has anyone else seen that Nigel Farage is a person of interest in the current FBI investigation?

It is no biggie actually.... it's a bit like someone here "helping the police with their enquiries".... he is not a suspect, but they want to know if he is for example indirectly a link man between trumps team and wikileaks...

It's more like more hot air from the paps, as anyone who has spoken to trump in the last 6 months or so will be looked at.

Farage did an interview with Kay Burley around 5pm on sky news. He's not linked to Russia in any way and as for Wikileaks it's common knowledge Farage met Julian Assange, it was for an interview for his job on LBC radio.

Not a biggie yet...

But if it is deemed that he acted as an agent of a foreign power (Cambridge Analytica) to unduly influence the 2016 presidential elections then I believe he may find himself on trial for his life...

Maybe the Donald and his boss Vlad have found the perfect patsy...

It's only fake news if he's not a person of interest. If he his, then it's real news.

The article (using quotes by an unnamed source) accuses him of being at the centre of Russian involvement in US election rigging

If he wasn't - it's fake news

Well Farage actually won the South Thanet seat by default at the 2015 general election. The Conservative candidate Craig McKinnley who stole the seat in 2015 has been charged by the police this morning for election fraud. Farage was robbed.

You can't win a seat by 'default'. You have to get more votes than the opposition. Farage didn't.

Can you prove that if McKinnley hadn't (allegedly) fiddled hes expenses he'd have polled less than Farage?

I doubt it.

He's still a loser.

No they weren't. All the other cases were dropped because there was little or no evidence. The South Thanet one is the only one where police have pressed charges.

McKinnley cheated to win. That does not make him the winner that makes him a cheat, a fraud and a loser. And yeah if McKinnley had played by the rules and not cheated I'm sure Farage would have won the seat in a fair fight.

Was the majority not 15000? That's a big gap and whilst not saying that what the Tories your new best friends did was acceptable not sure that Farage was even close enough to claim default..

How do you quantify under the law x pounds equal x votes?

Maybe it was inevitable behaviour with Mckinley being ex ukip and their issues in the EU?

And the electorate kicked ukip out in the local elections so be realistic they will struggle to get many seats and if they can't win their against the Tories that is it surely for them..?

This is one isolated incident in one seat. Brexit is too important an issue at this general election to risk so yes i'm still voting for Theresa May and the Conservatives at this general election.

Not sure where you got the 15000 majority from? Mackinlay only got around 2800 more votes than Farage in South Thanet in 2015.

2800 is considered a small majority in most seats.

The reason Farage is a person of interest is because of his ties to Cambridge Analytica and his involvement in introducing Trump to them after their success in manipulating the brexit vote. Funny thing is Trump boasted about how Farage was going to help him win the presidency a couple of weeks before Farage first got involved in Trumps nomination campaign.
