"I was under the impression all politcal parties had suspended campaigning out of respect for the people of Manchester after yesterdays tragedy. Just got home from the school run to find UKIP out in full force having posted a flyer through my door Do they really have that little shame and disrespect?? " It was agreed that campaigning would be suspended for Tuesday. The SNP cancelled their manifesto launch yesterday.

But I don't think it was only for Tuesday. Talk is that it will be at least Friday before it starts again.

"That's the sad thing it didn't really surprise me Just thought that even they may have a little more tact but I was obviously wrong" They talk of British vales - my understanding is that it is quite British to give people to mourn and grieve till the dust settles down, then proceed with a stiff upper lip.

It's now Wednesday and we have to carry on otherwise the terrorists win. We can't let the scum terrorists disrupt our way if life or the democratic process or the election in this country, the terrorists would only see that as a victory in their warped twisted minds. I say good on ukip for getting back out there today in defiance of the terrorists.

" You shouldn't have been surprised, ukip, Katie Hopkins etc and Isis are flip sides of the same hate preaching coin. They feed off each other and this was seen as an opportunity by them.

"Have I missed something but I have not heard any condemnation about the bombing from Corbyn" He probably used big words that the daily mail didn't understand so it's waiting for the BBC to get out of the news cycle enough to report he said.

"Have I missed something but I have not heard any condemnation about the bombing from Corbyn" “I am horrified by the horrendous events in Manchester last night. My thoughts are with families and friends of those who have died and been injured. “Today the whole country will grieve for the people who have lost their lives. “I have spoken with Andy Burnham, the mayor of Manchester, who has fully briefed me on the operational response in the city. “I would like to pay tribute to the emergency services for their bravery and professionalism in dealing with last night’s appalling events. “I have spoken with the Prime Minister and we have agreed that that all national campaigning in the general election will be suspended until further notice.” it does go on.......... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/05/23/jeremy-corbyn-pays-tribute-victims-manchester-terror-attack/

It was reported at the weekend that the ukip manifesto was due to be released on Wednesday (today). It was not released today and was suspended until tomorrow (Thursday).

Only in an interview with Sophie Ridge on sky news at the weekend before the terror attack in Manchester he refused to condemn the IRA and only condemned the bombing. Corbyn should hang his head in shame after that interview.

And Lib Dems around Worcester. I have had leaflet delivered. It seems pointless to blame individual parties as all seems to be starting to roll slowly getting back to "normal". Unless you want to use this tragedy to score cheap political points?

Clearly for you the phrase ' I condemn all bombing etc' is too complicated for you..

Unless you want to use this tragedy to score cheap political points?" I agree. Dislike UKIP as I do I see nothing wrong with them, or any others, distributing leaflets or engaging in local canvasing. However I may take objection to what UKIP and Nuttall have to say when they release their UKIP manifesto later to day. I have a feeling it won't be very much in line with the "Love for all, hatred for none" message currently coming out from the people of Manchester.
