"It seems that the latest North Korean missile test was a total clusterfuck. Not sure they have any capability of striking back should trump carry out his threat to take out their missile development complex." Being serious now. If America does carry out any kind of military strike it's not North Korea he has to worry about. It's Russia and China and pudding bowl haircut knows it. Hence the postering. America needs to learn that sometimes the bigger and better man walks away from a fight.

Seoul is only 100 miles from the North Korea border Japan is only 250 miles from the coastline The us have shed loads of troops in both South Korea and Japan North Korea has shed loads of short range missiles So the question is would the us anti defence systems take out all incoming missiles?

I do not think it means what you think it means. A missile misfiring (especially within the context of a test) does not always mean failure.

Depends on what the objective is. If you're in the middle of a war and trying to take out a specific target, then yeah, a missile exploding after a few seconds would definitely classed as a catastrophic fail. I know North and South Korea are still technically at war but last I heard there was a cease fire. Let's flip this around for a second. Do you think that just because the US "successfully" dropped nukes on Japan a couple of times that they aren't developing new technology? I'm sure western superpowers are testing weapons all the time and guess what? Some of those tests have ended in failure but you wouldn't doubt their military prowess, would you? The truth is there's still a lot more we don't know about NK and MSM really doesn't do much to give an unbiased representation of current events.

Whille thats true if we look back to the 1930's thats what soem thought about germany, not saying that NK have the same ideas as hitler but if someone keeps pushing you at some point you need to say enough is enough

With the threat of a US strike if they carried out the test what better way to say I'm not scared of you than to fire the missile but have it fail intentionally.

" China might be a bit miffed. Russia wouldn't give a fcuk. " actually not quite true... as both China AND Russia have a land border with North Korea (russia's is up in the north east of north korea) both would potentially have lots of refugees flooding across the border... thats why both china and russia are urging everyone to go back to the "6 nations" talks.... (North Korea, South Korea, Japan, US, China and Russia) to try and settle things down...

" How did the Russian Growler (S-400) based in Syria stand up to all those cruise missiles last week?" well you'll notice the US didn't destroy them and the russians didn't fire any at the incoming fire..... both were deliberate actions.. ![]() ![]()

" How did the Russian Growler (S-400) based in Syria stand up to all those cruise missiles last week? well you'll notice the US didn't destroy them and the russians didn't fire any at the incoming fire..... both were deliberate actions.. ![]() ![]() Well I think the americans chose not to target the system because it's manned by Russians and didn't want to kill Russian soldier. They may have also been confident that the cruise missiles could evade the system but still wanted to test that assumption. Did the Russians chose not to fire, or did they not detect the missiles? Or although the kremlin knew about it, maybe the Growler battery didn't, and didn't shoot just in case it wasn't an incoming missile attack?
