Former NSA and counter intelligence officer has said Trumps White House has been working with Russian intelligence targetting unfriendly journalists.

With Trump having publicly encouraged Russia to hack his opposition in the Democratic party is it a stretch to think the White House is working to undermine the free press i the US?

This report comes on the heels of leaks of Flynn illegally negotiating with the Russians before Trump took power, Sessions having been caught not being completely honest about meetings he had with the Russians and British and Dutch intelligence having found Trump officials meeting with Russian officials repeatedly in Europe during the campaign.

"So what's the problem?"

Really?

The US has for decades been harping on about journalistic freedom in countries where oppressive regimes operate.

Every step this president has taken is heading towards being exactly that itself.

"So what's the problem?"

Intimidation of the press isnt a problem in your mind?

Not allowing them to report facts without threatening them with repercussions?

If you dont see a problem with that you should go to China or North Korea. Or better yet watch this video and see how half the people are terrified to even acknowledge an event the government doesnt like.

Has May colluded with Russian intelligence to target journalists? The same Russian intelligence that has hacked numerous governments, companies and individuals and assassinated enemies of Putin.

No she hasn't.

I do not think that I will be paying too much attention to what a dis _ gruntled intelligence officer has to say. Are they not supposed to keep their work secret in any event ?
