"Arrogant Arlene should have accepted with grace that the disastrous green rebate scheme, for which she had responsibility, is grounds for resignation. Sinn Fein did not demand her resignation - just that she step aside during a proposed investigation of the scheme. Yet again, the people of Ulster are being badly let down by their politicians." Arlene's issue as I understand it is that she feels there is no reason for her to stand aside. She suggested an independant public enquiry but SF would not accept that unless she stood aside. When Martin Mc Guiness resigned yesterday he even said that. The resignation is to try and achieve a different political position for SF from that achieved 18 months ago. The RHI issue was just timely and easy for the media to use to explain in simple terms. | |||
