North West

Some commentators have likened this post referendum, pre-A50 period as being the "phoney" period. Likened to the phoney war period in the early part of WW2 where pro and anti war supporters used any snippet of information that came through the news channels as a means to either justify their own position or to pour scorn on the opposition side.

Personally, I am looking forward to getting this process started and for all of the posts (on both sides) suggesting that bits of news, or comments made suggest that somehow the "war" has already been won.

The real battles are now about to begin.

In my real life real world conversations.....I hate to tell you all this but.

Err brexit doesn't even rank above the weather, in pubs, shops and work I don't think I've even heard it mentioned once in six weeks!

It seems a small percentage on either side are really really really into it, along with the vast majority of the media.

While the vast majority of everyday folk couldn't be arsed either way?

Haven't heard it spoken about in the real world either. I stay out of forum 'debates' about it too ....

Like most things, if their life doesn't change most people don't care.

If it's positive people will still be relatively indifferent to the topic.

If it's linked to anything negative people will care very much.
