"Should we be interveneing or just leave things to take Thier course ? " The only way we should be intervening in Syria is to join in with the Russians effort to destroy ISIS in Syria. ISIS, ISIL, Daesh or whatever name these terrorists wish to call themselves need to be wiped off the surface of the earth. In terms of Assad himself, and his government forces then leave well alone, learn the lessons from Iraq and Libya. The West removed Saddam Hussain in Iraq and Al Quaida stepped into the void, the West removed Gaddafi and the islamist extremists stepped into the void in Libya, ISIS were looking to step into the void left by Assad only the Russians had other ideas and kept Assad in power. Yes Assad is a brutal dictator but at least he keeps a lid on the islamist extremists rising to power, I think it's a case of better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

There will always be someone who is anti west, they will convince someone else to take up arms in one way or the other.

"What's Aleppo?" It's one of the many places in Syria where for the past six years muslims rather than compromise have been relentlessly slaughtering each other and reducing historic towns and cities to rubble.

"Isn't Syria just a smoke and mirrors proxy war between the West and Russia? From what I've read, whether this is total fact I'm unsure, America and France (possibly UK too) are funding IS indirectly? The weaponry that is being sent to the 'Syrian rebels' is filtering through to other IS factions in the region. The West and NATO have created dangerous power vacuums in Iraq and Libya and seem intent on wanting the same for Syria. " ...if the west hadn't armed isis and the rebels...assad wouldn't of had anyone to bomb.

" The USA position on Syria could be about to change when Donald Trump takes over from Obama. Trump wants to get along with Putin and Russia and Trump wants to take out ISIS. As far as arming ISIS goes then Saudi Arabia are playing a big part in that.

"Wait till we find out the truth so much romuers going on you can't believe anything that is reported as no videos or picture " . I've just watched a video from an independent journalist who has been in Aleppo and Syria for two years, she saw reporting at a UN media gathering. She said she'd like to dispel some commonly held mainstream views, she's seen 8 Syrian army and Russian humanitarian corridors opened to allow the people of Aleppo to leave the rebel held areas, all 8 corridors were bombed and shut down by the rebel terrorists to deliberately stop people leaving Aleppo, she's seen no Syrian hospitals bombed by the Russians or the Syrians, she has seen hospitals taken over by the terrorists which they then stockpiled with weapons including chemical weapons.... One more thing I found very alarming, she's just come out of eastern Aleppo and what she then said is nobody in eastern Aleppo has heard of the Syrian white helmets, despite being funded to the tune of 100 million dollars from the UK and us government, she's not managed to find one person rescued by them!. . The problem with Syria is terrorism, there under attack by terrorists, there doesn't even appear to be what could be called a civil war!.

"I dont think you can beleive much about anything these days, we hear that there is no electric or water etc etc in Allepo but then see pics of bombed buildings, but how do they send these pics taken by phones surely the masts would have been destroyed? If they are satelite phones they might get a signal but if there is no electric how are they charging the phones ? The situation is still awful and the quicker it stops the better " Exactly my thoughts. Plus, God forgive me for even thinking this, how do we know the callers to the news channels are even in Aleppo or Syria? All we see is close ups of their faces and a blank wall! That probably looks awful written down, but when I watched the news the other day, it seemed a little contrived. White wall, no windows. Could have been a studio.
