"Should the government allow the EU to trade tariff free with the UK?" Would we not have to agree to free movement of people for the EU to allow free trade. If so we might as well just stay in the EU and hope they reform.

"Should the government allow the EU to trade tariff free with the UK?" The EU is going to put tarriffs on British goods which makes them less competitive to EU customers. If the UK has no tarriffs on EU goods then it keeps EU products competitive with UK goods. Basically you'll be putting British industry in the worst situation possible where they have very strong competition at home and immensely strong competition in one of their biggest markets. Terrible idea from a UK perspective
