"How the EU referendum went? . . . . . . . . . sorry, just feels good to rub it in now n again Leave won on 52%, but i forgot how the American presidential election went? Maybe you can remind me? Ah, yes, it was a resounding Trump victory which was predicted by those forum contributors who have a good sense of the way the political world is changing, yourself included if I'm not mistaken sir " Myself and most of my colleagues and friends predicted a Tory win in 2015, Cameron giving in to Farage's desire of a Eu referendum due to worrying about UKIP threatening to take right wing inclined votes... We also predicted Brexit, most of us guessing at a win of no more than 5%. And we predicted a comfortable win for Trump... ...just to inform you that the under 30's and those in jobs ranging from shelf stacking through to research in private business and academic weren't that out of touch. Funnily enough we listened and realised that 2016 would be the year the Western world would drift hard right. We listened, but we don't think it's a good option. Ah well, atleast we all made a nice couple of hundred each from wagering bets here and there. | |||
