"Meanwhile, one of the largest economies in the world has just overwhelmingly voted to legalise the recreational use of that thing we can't talk about on Fab. Well done Californians. ![]() But without healthcare ( which the Republicans will abolish), they won't be able to deal with the ensuing mental healthcare issues.

"What you mean the paranoia that's comes from continually worrying about getting caught smoking it ? ![]() Not correct my friend. There are 2 main active ingredients in cannabis, THC and CDB (think I have that right), these 2 have somewhat opposite effects on the brain and in times past they pretty much balanced each others harmful effects out. However with the arms race that has been caused by the 'drugs war' leading to the development of super strong strains such as skunk that balance has been disturbed and regular use of cannabis now causes serious mental illnesses including paranoid delusions. There is also a growing body of evidence that it also triggers psychotic breaks as well as long term dependency. Long gone are the days when you could toke away for months or years without any side effects (other than those related to inhalation of smoke) and shrug your shoulders and carry on as if nothing had happened if your supply became unavailable. I expect this post and thee thread will be gone soon which is a shame as this could stop someone destroying their life through lack of knowledge.

"What you mean the paranoia that's comes from continually worrying about getting caught smoking it ? ![]() I would seriously hope that the thread does not get pulled. California, Nevada and Massachusetts all voted positively yesterday which means that on top of the already legal states the momentum for change will be unstoppable. Especially so when Canada legalises in the Spring of next year. The UK was once a world leader in the race for change. Now we follow.

"What you mean the paranoia that's comes from continually worrying about getting caught smoking it ? ![]() Yep but it is about staying squeaky clean law wise not what our intentions are. In fact i would not be surprised if I get a time out on the naughty step. But if my message gets to just 1 person directly or indirectly Ill happily sit on the step and then stand in front of the class with the pointy D hat on, and make it looook goooood! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

"What you mean the paranoia that's comes from continually worrying about getting caught smoking it ? ![]() The problem is as with everything else the press and doctores jump on the very small amount of cases of phycosis and forget the 1000's who take it everyday with no problems and the fact that some cases would have be one phycotic no matter what they took

I have a friend on the inside (phd research biochemist in a related field) and according to her the evidence is overwhelming. In fact the implications are important and opportunities for further funded research so large that she is thinking of entering the field once her current research grant runs out.

It's the " elephant in the room", the medical ( psychiatric ) issues with the effects of Cannabis on inducing both temporary and permanent psychosis are indisputable; but the evidence is being suppressed. Not helped by the fact that much of the " evidence" for the harmlessness of cannabis is based on the canna is of 29 years ago, not the massively more powerful strains that are the norm nowadays.

" the real elephant in the room is that while the debate has been closed down for the last 50 years, there has been a 50 year void where there was no properly conducted independent research, just fragmented studies which have all been skewed with bias depending on which side of the lobby commissioned it. just think of the conclusive knowledge we would have if the anti-lobby had not totally stymied proper research for five decades by refusing to allow debate on the matter.
