I think the most idiotic Tory this week has been Anna Soubry, she is a Remainer as well.

They are talking about cutting foreign student numbers but they bring in loads of money and generally are not a problem especially as the visa controls were tightened a few years ago. They are going to kill a golden goose.

It comes from the Student Loans Company (SLC) I think at the last count it was 12000 students owing £89 million

At least Scots can study University courses through out the UK with no charge to the student, certainly helps younger students starting out in life

To be precise, £89m was owed by EU students as opposed to all foreigners in general. EU students pay less fees than non-EU foreigners, which universities make.

It's simply sheer government incompetence that they can't use the EU to recover these debts.
