"Too lazy and fat"

That's what international trade secretary Dr Fox thinks of British business people. They also need to start "thinking about export as a duty".

Ironically, Kim Jong-Il said that the reason 15% of the population starved to death in the 90's was because "they didn't work hard enough". Nothing to do with his leadership of course.

Richard Reed, Innocent Drinks co-founder, said Mr Fox "had never done a day's business in his life".

Tru dat.

It's not so much that I inherently disagree with him, I just don't think he should be the person saying that.

In the hood, we say that a brotha has to "earn the right to diss someone" and I don't believe that Dr Fox has earned that right.

If Dyson, Branson, Sugar etc want to make that statement then they can. But a doctor turned politician should really shut their mouth and know their role.

It's like a 14 year old kid joining the Real Madrid youth team and then walking over to Gareth Bale and giving him advice on taking free kicks.

Even if the advice is factually correct, it's not going to get over well...

I don't actually think british business people are that lazy, but then again I've only worked in the private sector as a low level part time worker and intern so I can't say much - you probably have a lot more experience in that regard.

However, I agree with you, and on this, Nigel Farage actually. Politicians should not turn round and lecture/criticise those in a organisation/industry how to run it or that they are being lazy if they have never worked in it at a managerial level.

Obviously in cases of unethical conduct then politicians should bring people to court, but this is like someone who has never worked in a laboratory telling me my research methods are wrong.
