He has done nothing illegal but those who don't like his politics or the thought that he may wish to relax our puritan laws have outed him and are now calling for a police investigation.

Seems to me that regardless of political affiliations we (the Fab community) should all be supporting the man because we are also under attack here. To be clear if the media get away with this attack on Vas's sexual legal behaviour then none of us are safe from attacks like this.

I don't think he should resign anymore than someone investigating alcohol laws etc should resign because they've legally consumed alcohol.

He had consensual sex. I don't think I would ever buy the Mirror, Mail, Sun etc that have run these stories against him. The media is the scum here.

He's elected by his local constituents, who have repeatedly kept him in his seat - he must have some great qualities.

It's nothing to do with his sexuality. It's the fact that he chairs a committie about legalising prostitution and drugs! Surely you can see the conflict of interest!?

He was all in favour of reintroducing blasphemy laws and mingling sharia law into British courts..... The man's the worse type of hypocrite, he's a dangerous one, frankly I don't care who's he's fucking and I'm not really bothered if he's paying for it,i don't read tabloids because there shit and full of nonsense...a bit like Keith vaz, somebody above said he must be good he keeps getting relected, he's the MP for Leicester East I'll let you look up the demographics!... Have you ever considered why Caroline Lucas is MP for Brighton?.

Or David Cameron in Oxford or some crazy Scouse loon in Liverpool... Voters are not exactly brilliant gauges of decency, there'll vote for anybody that speaks or looks like them!!

Fact is we pass laws to protect society from being harmed by those with antisocial tendencies. There are only 2 exceptions to this, sex between consenting adults and the use of mind altering substances (except for alcohol, nicotine and caffeine). If you want to talk about conflicts of interest how about talking about the one that says we can only use colloidal stimulants and depressants that are controlled by the big businesses that buy advertising in the papers that have outed Vas?

No it's got nothing to do with his personality, I stated at the beginning, I don't give a shit about his personal liking for rent boys, doesn't interest me in the slightest!.

What I dislike about him is his hypocrisy and very poor judgement, alla blasphemy laws!.

You'll probably find his constitutes give more of a shit about his rent boy escapades than I do... That was my point most voters vote for people who look or talk like they do and it's very rarely about their "character".

I mean do you really think Boris Johnson could be voted in, in say Newcastle? Or Glasgow?.

Do you honestly think Keith vaz would be voted in in cornwall or rural Lincolnshire? Do you think Caroline Lucas could get in in the lake district?.... It's those mini tribal instincts getting past them is pretty hard when you don't look talk or think like them?....

Anyhow I don't like vaz coz he's a dick, there's been countless other things I'd have got rid of him for, this isn't one of them for me personally, politicans will moan that some mps are being outed due to their political activities(revenge for the phone hacking/press inquiry) I've no doubt that there'd be correct but then some mps did do the phone hacking/press inquiry for revenge on stories run on them before?.

It's basically two rival power authority's battling for power the press and the government, theres a very fine balance needed for both of them to control each other and that's the most important aspect
