"I'm waiting for CLCC to blame it on Brexit Nothing to blame on Brexit, but it will be a pain in the future when we will need a visa to visit." Oh, I don't know. If it weren't for brexit then we wouldn't have to have a separate politics forum. If we didn't have a separate forum, this non-political nonesense wouldn't be invading the politics forum, and then everything could have been avoided. Fucking brexit, right?!

Do you remember the three day working week? Was that better? My parents were around before the UK joined the EU and its predecessors and they voted to remain as well.

The majority of over 50s voted to leave the 3 day week had nothing to do with the EU it was the Government against the Unions.

"The UK wasn’t perfect before we join the EU (and predecessors), the UK isn’t perfect now, and the UK won’t be perfect in the future if we leave the EU or not. But I think on balance, that the UK is better off in the EU than out of it." And I don't and neither did 17.4 million other people are you still saying we are all wrong?

"For the first half of the 20th century the USA was in effect Saudi Arabia in terms of oil production, unfortunately it peaked in 1970/71 and coincided with the Arab states withholding oil because of the Israel/Palestine conflict. The world went into an energy deficiency for the first time since it gushed fourth in Pennsylvania. Heavy unionisation of industry may not have helped the UKs situation but it didn't cause the three day working week" That may well be correct the point is it had nothing to do with being part of the EU or not.

I said that further up!. . . The fact remains if I remove 35% of your daily energy intake you ain't going to get as much done as you did yesterday.. of course you could look to your inefficancys of where you wasted some energy yesterday so you could do the same today as you did yesterday but with 35% less energy?. Of course the countries best placed to do this would be maybe ones that had been flattened and rebuilt through war, running with no excess costs?. Germany and Japan just happened to have stumbled into the perfect scenario for world domination that they couldn't achieve with bullets... Now that's irony
