Seems to be why is it that France is being targeted again so sad latest 84 dead my thoughts are with the families x

I think it's just a case of that's where these people seem to be. If the person who committed the attack happened to live in the UK then it would've happened here imo.

Did you see the series Exodus on BBC2.

If you did not it was a good worth watching on i player.

Anyway there was a guy from Syrya who got to France and got a false passport and airline ticket to get to England.He got stopped at the airport because of his fake passport.

He was not allowed on to plane but was let go and released to walk freely in Paris.With that sort of security it is no surprise they have so many problems,lets get out of the EU

Several reasons:

They have a high proportion of Muslims already as a legacy of their historical North African colonies. This makes it easier for others to hide in plain sight. (NOT saying all Muslims are terrorists etc before anyone reacts and pretends to be offended. But the higher proportion is a FACT)

They are on mainland Europe and part of Shengen free movement zone.

They have banned the veil and some other religious practices.

They also have quite a large Jewish population. This has caused some tensions.

Their intelligence is frankly crap.

They have armed police so their natural instinct is reactive rather than proactive/preventative.

They are more overtly open about their freedoms...which ISIS in particular hate.

I'm sure there are other factual reasons. It does not, however, excuse in any way this latest, or any other recent atrocity.

Because France launches airstrikes in Syria against the terrorist organisation, they have been doing this for a considerable time

I also believe ISIS warned Britain not to join France in airstrikes or they would be next

Why France? It is probably because the people from the old French Colonies have been treated badly in the past and they don't want to assimilate in the general population. Also the French far right are on the rise. Thankfully we live in a more enlightened country.

France apparently doesn't collect data on their population's religion, but it's reckoned there's over 5m Muslims in the country, nearly twice as many as the UK.

They have also long had a culture of Assimilation rather than Multi-Culturalism as we have here. Efforts by populations there to introduce concepts of multi-culturalism have met with state, as well as popular barriers.

The fact that many of the people carrying out these attacks have petty criminal records is some indication of how and why they're being radicalised. France has introduced laws designed to take religion out of schools etc which seem to have contributed to the feelings of alienation that the radicalisers manipulate. The brutality of state institutions and heavy-handedness of the police, along with rise of intolerance (far-right parties in local government, and prominent nationally) all adds to the toxic atmosphere.

I'm sure there are other aspects to this, but the efforts of the French state to quash multiculturalism appears to have had a negative effect.

None of which, I hasten to add, is in any way is an excuse for such tragedies, but adds some possible context.

Can I just add something of note here

The latest attacks in Nice haven't been claimed by IS or any other terrorist organisation other than a act of mass myrder by a guy with severe mental health issues.

Usually IS or any other organisation would have claimed responsibility by now an that hasn't happened.

It appears to me this man has severe psychological problems and is known to the police as a criminal.

Just because he has an Islamic sounding name doesn't not a terrorist make him.

I may be proven wrong over the next day or two but as it stands he doesn't appear to belong to any terrorist organisation

Tunisian Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, aged 31.

Francois Molins said no group had admitted carrying out the attack but that it bore the hallmarks of jihadist terrorism

.Prime Minister Manuel Valls told France 2 television that Lahouaiej-Bouhlel was a "terrorist without doubt linked to radical Islamism in one way or another".

Ten of the dead were children. Some 202 people were injured; 52 are critical, of whom 25 are on life support.

Two very big primary factors.

1 they have a long history of Muslim immigration meaning they have a large number of second generation Muslims, these tend to be the easily radicalised ones, caught between western living and Islamic culture they have the "don't belong feeling".

2 France has actively sought out state secularism which means it's the number 1 enemy to isis... Isis are firmly of the religion running the country philosophy, the last thing they want is secularism!.

I can't quite recall what Paris was called by the Islamic world in days gone by, but it was devilish to the highly religious.... Far to much sinning

If it's racism there fighting there doing a shit job, upto now they've murdered far more black, Muslim and minorities than white racists!.

It would be akin to white supremacist KKK terrorists heading to Oxfordshire and massacring white millionaires!
