North West

Favourite to replace Farage but declared he will not stand and instead will resign as deputy leader.

He will however retain his MEP position to get a handsome payment for doing fuck all.

Neil Hamilton for UKIP Fuhrer In Chief? Or will we see UKIP evaporate into thin air?

Evaporation please ..failing that can we have a referendum to determine if there is a place for a party like that in UK politics

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Evans will be reinstated and she'll get the leadership with her line that UKIP is now the moderate, centre ground, sensible party.

I see the letters U K I and P trigger some pretty daft comments and the usual vitriol from foreign residents.

Can I remind people that UKIP WON the last European Elections. They WON the third highest vote and percentage in the last General Election (nearly 3 times more than the SNP). They FORCED the Government to call an EU Referendum and won the argument because 17.4 million people agreed with what Farage and UKIP have been saying for 20 years.

But I suppose in some people's eyes that means there are 17.4 million racist xenophobic Little Englanders ....

UKIP will stay a force in British politics especially if Labour implodes as it will because they were already winning over Labour voters in the North and Midlands. They have already said they will need to change post Brexit having won their main objective. Its a shame the Tories and Labour haven't woken up yet and smelt the post Brexit coffee.

Think the oficial leave campaign won the argument .. as for winning European elections then being to bloody lazy to fill the seat with their bums just shows the British public like lazy useless politicians..nothing to be proud of ...time will tell if there place for a one policy party .with ex tory politicians

"Bit of a leap to say 17m people agree with Farage isn't it?"

Not at all. The Referendum was a binary question: leave or Remain. Those 17+ Million voted to leave the EU. Which is the aim Farage has been arguing for 20 years.

Simple really. Have we left the EU yet? No. And the way the media and the power people are arguing they want a May Administration kicking Brexit into the long grass...

So there is a place for UKIP and as they have said they will change with the new times. It may be a shock but they do have other policies apart from leaving the EU. Now whether they will remain as popular is another debate ...

Article 50 is the start of the process and depending whether its May or Leadsum you get two very different pictures of when we should invoke that Article and how long after the process will take. May and Co say some 2 years or more. That sounds like kicking the can down the road and maybe we need a UKIP to hold their feet to the fire. People forget UKIP is not a minority party in the country. It polled more votes than the SNP and Libdems together. It is also achieving second place in Labour constituencies more often than the Tories.

I think it is a bit short sighted to just dismiss a party that has achieved so much in such a short time. And remember I am a lifelong Tory just trying get some balance in this discussion. Labour will dismiss UKIP at its electoral peril...

I wonder whether there will be anyone left who will remember Farage in good faith in two years time once the entire economic toll has materialized or once the first Polish have been feathered down the road or any other minority with migrant background. The hate crimes in the aftermath of Brexit....I have seen it all before in other countries with national supremacy mind set. What I found reconfirmed is that it isn't a German phenomenon only ... It's everywhere.....

And what's worse for Britain...with the xenophobic and anti migrant propaganda during the campaign which resulted into staggering 17M +voters. It's not a noisy disturbing minority.....it's scary mainstream

It is also achieving second place in Labour constituencies more often than the Tories

"

In the interests of balance - in the 2015 general election UKIP was second in, what, 44 labour seats? And weren't the conservatives second in around about 168 seats won by labour?

Isn't 168 bigger than 44 any more in the post Brexit pro-UKIP era? Or is that another case where UKIP drum bangers get to airbrush history?

One day you will reply to someone else's posts. Your obsession with my comments is getting rather tiresome especially when you infer something entirely out of the context in discussion. You here selected ONE line out of a lengthy reply and then gave some numbers without any sources (as usual).

So here is MY source (and there are others):

"Ukip is the obvious winner by this count – despite losing its leader, Nigel Farage, to a second-place finish, the party got one seat and came second in 120 others, despite not getting a single second place back in 2010."

http://www.cityam.com/215414/general-election-2015-results-heres-who-came-second-every-seat-including-120-silver-medals

And while we are on sources when I give a source it is for everyone to read ALL of it. The fact that I select (as here) a paragraph does not mean I am selectively quoting, dissembling, misinforming, misleading or lying as you so frequently drone on. It means I have THAT opinion and provide data to help the discussion.

It was a simple enough question and there's no need for a hissy fit, laddie.

My source is the election results published by the electoral commission, old son.
