Not just trump, but the politicians in the USA in general.. no matter what their base is.

I am talking about politicians being bought (bribed) by lobbyists for all sorts of reasons.

Significantly AIPAC which bribes American politicians to direct taxpayers money into Israel, providing weapons, and other services like free health care free education etc .

While not providing the same for American citizens.

Is this going to be the norm after trump is out of office?

And how far is the rot in UK politics?

The US has funded Israel even under the Democrats. It has more to do with the US having an ally in the middle eastern region than with corruption or some other conspiracy theory.

Oh aye .. I get that.. kind of foothold in the region.

Wasn't sure if other lobby groups are at work too.. bribing elected officials to work against those who voted for them.

Another issue being huge AI data centres being built in America

The midterms are going to be fascinating because of the Israeli government, AIPAC has become as toxic a brand as the NRA

That combined with the rise of the DSA on the left has both republicans and establishment centrist Democrats in their sights and they are kinda worried for two different reasons

Republicans want to make DSA to be bogeymen, but they can’t as Mamdani as doing a good job as New York mayor .. and centrist Democrats are worried that if he does succeed, then fingers will start pointing and people will start asking why can’t we do that!

Centrist keeps saying that the DSA are just coastal.. but the interesting thing is there are 3 contests in the Midwest that may show the reach of the new left… Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota

The best thing to equate it to is the tea party takeover of the Republican Party that led to MAGA

The USA electorate have already expressed their opinion of Donald Trump. They have elected him as President twice. In a democracy most people are happy to accept the opinion of the electorate. The citizens of the USA are happy to have such a great President. A true world leader

I hate politics, but the last few years have been a farce. The trump show, like him or not, he has done hardly anything voted in for. Meanwhile the UK has had how many prime ministers in the past few years? All have been terrible.

Yes .. or PM's haven't been the best. I just don't know how such people make it to high office?!

Trump's done enormous damage to the USA and not sure how much more damage he can do short of starting ww3
