Burnham being appointed changes both those things. That is what doesn't feel right. I am pro Burnham and want to see what he does, but it seems like a democratic blind spot that the ruling party can go from centre left to harder left with no public say. | |||

Obi" Indeed, and I imagine he will be very successful at making a whole host of changes because most Labour MPs love him, most Labour voters too. From what Burnham has said so far we facing a big shift in terms of what gets taxed, what gets prioritised, what doesn't. Might be good for the country, might not. But the average voter voted based on a very different Labour. And they gets a say in all this... When? At the next general election? You either think that matters democratically or you don't, either is valid. I think it does. | |||
