Yet another U turn. In 2023 Starmer derided resignation honours lists, calling them unjustified.

"2 years longer than Liz Truss "

Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss, Sunak, Starmer

If they all live 50 years will cost the taxpayer in pensions/rpi north of £65M

It's not a pension and isn't automatically payed. The £115,000 figure refers to the Public Duty Costs Allowance (PDCA)—an allowance that can be used by former PMs to reimburse expenses “for necessary administrative costs arising from their special position in public life”, such as managing an office, dealing with correspondence and covering the costs of appearing at events in their capacity as an ex-Prime Minister.

Agree. Peerages 4 Mates has always been massively unpopular amongst ordinary people and it's time we changed it to a system where Peers are either elected by us or appointed by a cross-party board.

This -

Hypocrasy in action - absolute joke .

Eyeliner bodybags getting busy bending over to a certain demographic -

Yet two tier has the audacity to talk about ridding society of anti-semitism .

Funny how the House of Lords is seen as an undemocratic anachronistic old folks’ home by the Labour Party until they want to use it for their own benefit.
