"Samantha Niblett (who indeed) Labour MP for South Derbyshire has designated 2026 as the “summer of sex” to promote more open, inclusive, and lifelong sex education across the United Kingdom. Her campaign is awkwardly entitled “Yes sex please, we’re British”! Niblett has secured a debate on the subject in the House of Commons, and wants to bring dildos into Parliament as part of the campaign. Hot on the heels of MP’s engaging in public dancing lessons, is this the kind of thing that our “representatives” should be spending their time (and taxpayers’ money) on? Or, given the multitude of serious problems the UK has, is it another sign of how unserious and vacuous our MP’s have become? " What's the problem with this, in principle? "Your on a sex site. Surely anything that makes sex positive is a good thing?" I like going swimming too but I don’t need an MP to have a debate about it to encourage me to do it. Do you think many people in the country are actually influenced by what some MP they’ve never heard of says about anything? | |||

Sex isn’t taboo either. A lot of these Labour MP’s seem to spend their time fussing over stuff that were probably issues in the 1970’s.
