It sounds to me like they didn't prepare for the scenario that Iran would not surrender following the shock and awe tactics and weren't prepared for the scenario of Iran blocking the Strait

"NATO is a "defensive alliance". USA and Israel started an illegal war. A war that Trump said "had already been won"... NATO should not get involved!" Quite agree.
