Slow clap for corporations and banks seizing an opportunity to milk ever more out of us. There is no fuel shortage and no reason to raise interest rates

Funny how prices always go up immediately on a hint of bad news for stock purchased at cheaper prices... But don't come down for ages after wholesale prices drop again.

so the known facts are that the americans abduct the president of a south american sovreign nation and steal their entire oil production for themselves; closely followed by the destabilisation of the worlds largest oil producing region which drives oil prices skyward.

it's not really much of a coincidence to be fair.

You asked if I was real. To be able to answer the question we need to agree a common ground on what real is. 🤣"

i answered that with an elementary explaination of the science of reality in quantum terms as you asked. perhaps it was too technical for you to understand. let everyone here know and maybe we could break it down into simpler terms just for you.

Totally agree. When the chancellor put the duty up on petrol the pump price went up within minutes. When OPEC cut the price of oil it would take weeks to filter through, if at all

He certainly knew before he gave the go ahead ..

Israel have said since why they took the decision which is out in the public domain..

Unless of course they didnt bother telling trump and said we are going to take out the Ayatollah but if you want to join in and claim the glory come along..

in any case Trump has given a different reason to the Israelis

Memory issues perhaps?

Or no actual plan for after they killed him..?

Oh of course, but that wasn’t what the post I was replying to was suggesting. The operation in Venezuela would have been weeks in planning, so to suggest that Trump knew what the Iranian people would do in 2-3 months time and then base a military operation in South America on that is a little cached to say the least.

He would have intel on the Iran government and it’s military but I don’t think many people would have predicted an internal uprising in Iran, certainly not one that lasted as long as it has and has been as impactful as it has. They have shown incredible bravery in the face of genocide.

Don't forget that petrol always goes up in the run up to Mothering Sunday and will do so again just before Easter. Then again for May Bank holiday, then Whitsun half term.

The suppliers aren't going to suffer a reduction in their income if they can help it!

Well the same place I got petrol at which was £125.9 2 weeks ago is now £129.9 today…

And with the oil price spike that happened today…. And the oil’s professionals say if it remains bad for the next few weeks prices could go through the roof, even I am going to do a half tank top up tomorrow…..

Anyway.. fuel finder… government website where producers have to put their prices on.. least I know where I am going tomorrow

Fuel prices fluctuate, that’s life, baby. People always need petrol, they don’t all need to buy it at the same time. Panic isn’t great, panic buying is wonderful for the people that are selling.., media coverage highlighting people buying petrol (a normal daily occurrence) only makes silly people stress and go out and buy it, which means more people buy petrol than normally would, driving up prices and causing a shortage. It’s not rocket science.

Costa Blanca Spain...

In Spain at the moment.

I filled up with diesel on Sunday at 1.23€.

Drove past station last night and it was 1.56€.

That is from a chain of discount forecourts. The big suppliers here, Cepsa and Repsol, average around 20c more.

Well the price of a barrel of oil.. which was roughly 70 dollars a barrel last week… is now sitting at approximately 90 dollars a barrel now… in experts are saying if this continues it could reach as much as 150 dollars a barrel in the next 3 weeks….

Trump had a go at Biden for trying to use the strategic oil reserves to keep down prices… Trump in his first year has not replenished the reserves

The off ramp is when us petrol prices go up (they are starting to) and the pressure of fingers being pointed at trump in the middle of the greater life affordability debate

If there is going to be an off ramp

All valid points.

But it’s a bit like the net zero target. It’s going to cost trillions but environmentalists say if we don’t the cost is higher.

The cost of saving Iranian lives isn’t going to be trillions, a few pennies on the price of a litre of fuel. I guess we all have our own priorities and tipping points.

This a little unfair...

the tyrannical regime in Iran, killed 10's of thousands of their own people for demonstrating against the Islamic republic, in a few days.

The US through Trump sent a message to the people saying we are going to hit hard, now is your chance to make the changes you are calling out for.

Would hope most fertiliser is in stock befor this started. UK farmers source fertilizer from a mix of domestic manufacturing, significant imports from Europe and elsewhere, and organic on-farm sources. The UK imports roughly 60% of its nitrogen fertilizer requirements, with key import origins including the Netherlands, Norway, Germany, and Belgium.

But tractors 🚜 will now be costing more to run Sam as lorrys etc.

Imaginative excuse scriptwriter for all the manufacturers and providers looking to join the great Iran war price hiking gravy train.

Who'd have guessed that there is going to be a world fertilizer shortage because of the shortsightedness of Trump and the Israelis.

Why ever didn't they thing this through properly..

..or are they in it for the profit themselves?
