Regarding immigration I would like to see any immigrants with less than 15 years living in the UK removed or given 6 monthly visas requiring renewal every 6 months proving full information. " As someone who works in the NHS I agree that many of my colleagues were either born in different countries or have parents born overseas. The major difference is they arrived in the UK legally not illegally and that's the main difference. It's not in the 1951 Convention, but subsequent legal judgements have come to the conclusion that a refugee must travel "directly" to the place where they claim asylum. It's accepted that a 6 month walk across an entire continent crossing several borders counts as a "direct" journey. However if that person stops for 6 months in one country, that doesn't count as "direct". There's a whole slew of complex judgements, which means that each case needs to be considered on its individual merits. | |||

Before Brexit I thought the Dublin Convention / Regulation was there to curtail asylum shopping. Not too sure what has happened since Brexit. Not really too bothered either but I think it's fair and reasonable for people to claim asylum in the first safe port and not choose a country. If I was fleeing persecution with my family I would be so relieved to reach a safe country and wouldn't feel compelled to shop around. Thanks for responding. | |||

Its my understanding he pays UK taxes on his UK enterprises. If he lives in Monaco then he won't pay tax on his personal income while there. I can see absolutely nothing wrong with that. I would imagine he has paid his UK taxes on his personal income when he lived in UK until his late 60's. He may think he's done his bit for UK and decided he would leave all the financial burden of raising taxes to everyone who trawls sex sites and the equivalent all day. God help us. 🤣🤣 | |||
